This professor is awesome. His jokes can be hard to pick up on sometimes, but he is very funny. He'll let you redo papers, and he gives you audio with a very clear walk through on what you can do better on your paper. I've never had a teacher give me such clear, helpful feedback on a paper before. He really cares about you doing well.

Comment:

Heyda is the best professor I've had in college. Is funny, and very helpful to his students. He gives you so many opportunities to raise your grade that if you do poorly, it's your own fault. You do get to watch movies, but you will work in this class. I took him for my thematic sequence and I worked in all 3 of the courses. highly recommended :]

He is super funny! When you read this class you think it might be a easy A but you have 3 major papers involved that are worth a big part of your grade. Not a slack off class! Attendance is mandatory! I recommend him if you love movies! He is such a great professor all around!

A great class, but be forwarned it is not a fluff class where all you do is watch movies. Three major papers are involved worth 50% of your grade and a group presentation. A fun class but be prepared to work hard on papers. I would not reccomend this class if you have not taken ENG 111/112. If prepared, you can do well in this class.

Had Doc Heyda for some Film Studies classes back in the '80s. He was one of the all-around best college professors I encountered. The man knows his music, baseball, films and beer.
