Comment:

Dr. Cady is a nice guy it seems like but his class is absolutely awful. I didnt know my grade until after midterms and I spent countless hours on question sets that were worth next to nothing! His lectures are extremely dry and I feel like I didnt learn anything. Exams are extremely hard all extended response. Asks super intricate questions.

Comment:

He is extremely picky and finds a way to take off points on the smallest, most pettiest things. Almost never gives full points because he feels the need to find something wrong, even when there is nothing. His model responses are not "model" at all. They're vague and he leaves some things out, while expecting your answers to be perfect. Worst prof!

Comment:

The material isn't hard, his lack of organization & effort is debilitating. Never posts grades, does a dot plot to curve at the end, tells you to use prior materials to study but won't open them, stops posting notes, doesn't TEACH. Group project isn't too bad. I can't imagine in-class with him, he can't even teach online. Good luck BSN program.

Do not take his online course! The worst! Remote controlled and the system does not work well but you do not have an opportunity to retake any quiz or exam even it is the problem of the controlled system

Dr Cady will make you work for your grade. His class is tough but he does care about the material and the student. What more can you ask for in a college level course? You will learn something once the class is over.

At first this class wasn't too bad, but as the semester went on it got worse. Usually every week he would post a video with a note sheet. As the semester went on, there weren't notes or a video. He wanted us to read to get all of the information. His exams are super hard. He grades really hard as well and takes forever to tp grade as well.

Dr. Cady is so intelligent. This class online is very difficult though. He gives you a note sheet for the week, and theres a short quiz every week. There is an exam every 4 weeks usually. The lecture videos are question sets are so important to study. His tests are very hard, and he is a tough grader.

Great professor really cares about biology, however does not put grades into the system. Went more than half the semester not knowing what I have in the class (annoying). Curves class from the beginning, both very beneficial BUT could hurt you if the whole class all does great.

He individually grades all exams by hand and gives great feedback. If you study the material given in his chalkboard lesson, the exam will be easy. Some questions are very difficult and extended response. Ive taken him once for Bio 115 and now again for MBI 325.

The online course is an absolute joke. He gives VERY basic, high-school leveled notes, tells us to read our book, and then gived INSANELY difficult exams. They're ALL EXTENDED RESPONSE. I have no clue how he feels he can test the way he does, doing absolutely nothing for his online class. I've heard the in-class portion is just as bad.

I love Dr. Cady! One of the best professors I've had so far at Miami. He's not only hilarious, inspirational (super passionate), I would take every one of his classes! He doesn't give many tests but if you come to lecture and lab you'll be fine. Reading doesn't hurt but you can get away without it. His tests are somewhat difficult, but fair.

I learned so much in this class! Dr. Cady's tests are NO JOKE. They are very difficult. He explained complex body processes really well and I finally understood some things that I did not comprehend well in my anatomy classes. You must put in a lot of time in order to do well on his exams and quizzes. Nice guy and really good lectures.

Online class very disorganized. Never received feedback on any tests, despite repeated attempts to obtain grades from him. Does scatter plot grading- so your "surprise grade" at the end of the semester is decent. Tests very hard- notes are scattered and random. Do not take this class if you are looking for an easy grade or structure.

He is a really nice guy with a lot of knowledge but an awful professor. Just throws random notes on the board and tests their is so much to cover that you do not even know what to study. Very rude sometimes as well.

Does not embrace technology and only uses a chalkboard... if you are a visual learner, have fun. He can be funny, but at the end of the day you prefer someone who can teach. He has no pedagogical skills whatsoever. His tests are tough, but he curves grades in the end.

Really funny and nice guy, a little disorganized but really makes the subject a lot of fun than it is for someone who is not into biology. The subject that he teaches are hard so I think he does a decent job at getting the point across. Would recommend

He does not taking his job as a teacher seriously hence he is never prepared for class and is always improvising.......if you prefer a structured, organized teacher, as I do, I recommend someone else
