Comment:

Dr. Judaken was a wonderful instructor and is extrememly knowledgable about Modern Europe. I took Summer 09 HIST 3302 course. All college students know the rules go to class, read the assignments and you will do well. No tricks questions with Dr. Judaken he gave the exam questions in advance everything else is up to you. Definitely Recommended!!

Comment:

It was a privilege taking Dr. Judaken. He knows his stuff and has a passion teaching it. I took his three week Modern European History course and it was pretty intense. You have to be in class and do the reading...you know, what good students do. But if you do that, you'll be fine. He's always willing to help and a genuinely nice guy. I recommend!

I think he's a great instructor. I've been around the history department for a number of years and he's by and large my favorite prof. He's always been helpful and understanding and extremely erudite. Inspired me to work harder and think more deeply into issues. The workload may be up there, but I'm in college to learn, not to just get by.

Comment:

Judaken is the best teacher that I have ever had. He knows that he should be teaching at an ivy league school and at times he seems a bit arrogant. However, I learned more in his pre-session summer course than I have in the 3 years I have been at this university. Money well spent and I will definitely be taking him in the fall.

Dr. J is a great teacher. I took his class during the summer. Dr. J is a caring teacher who challenges students to read and participate. He is a very approachable person who is willing to help anyone who is willing to put in the work. Tests are easy, but you must study. Daily quizzes don't count much, but they can hurt your grade, also.

great teacher! He expects you to do the work and come prepared. It takes a lot of time and effort, but you do learn. He is very knowledgable about the subject and lets you know about areas where he does not know as much. Expects a lot out of students but it is a great teacher. I recommend Dr. Judaken.

Had Dr. J for World Civ. I'm not a HIST major. I thought his class was ok, if maybe a little biased toward the history of Judaism. He assigned some interesting books. Long tests, but if you've been in class and read the texts, you'll do ok.

I was intimidated coming into this class; I had previously taken the globalization course with him and found him rather arrogant. I was amazed after I left the first day of class-- it absolutely changed how I view the world. Dr. J is a fantastic instructor, one that you'll never forget. All he required was effort and participation; I'd recommend.

I've taken Dr. J for several classes now, this one being the third one. He's been nothing but amazing for each class. I work hard and don't give excuses and show up for class. And I've made A's every time. I read everything I have to read and I think about what they mean. He's not here to listen to excuses. He's here to teach you.

This guy may be hard and may have a lot of work, but if you are truly interested in learning, he is a fantastic teacher. I would take him again. Be prepared to discuss and work hard. He gives opportunities to ask questions, bring other interpretations, and have extra time with him if you don't understand. Show effort, and he is lenient with grades.

Dr. J is an absolute jackass. He thinks he knows everything and bashes students answers when he doesn't agree and makes you feel stupid. I dread this class because it is simply a forum for his political agenda and to him, if you don't agree, you are stupid and he lets you know it.I spoke against him and he gave me a C in participation. AVOID!!!

I hate this class. Judaken is a pompous ass and tries to make his students feel stupid by asking questions and then butching the answer. I dread his class. Judaken likes to feel like he's smart. He is also very rude when it comes to students' personal life - or maybe just mine. Avoid!

hes a very smart man , and he gives very good lectures. He can can be a little pretentious at some times and also his accent changes which is a little weird. hes really hott though, and he always has nice shoes.

I think this is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is a bit "smart" but I got past all that and really learned from him. If you are interested in history take him.
