Very fair and professional professor. Grading breakdown is very clearly outlined, attendance is mandatory. A few midterms, a final and a paper. She is also lenient in grading the essays on the midterm. Would recommend taking.

Professor Lyness is a very nice professor and she's very knowledgable in I/O Psychology. Her class is a bit boring and you'll find yourself sleeping a lot but overall she's a fair grader and it's not hard to get at least a B in her class.

She is a great professor. Her class can be a little slow, but she does try her best to liven things up. She has two papers, 3 exams, and a presentation, and 'most surprising' papers for each chapter which are a breeze. It is not hard at all to get a good grade.

She's a very nice lady and very helpful if you don't understand something. She makes the calss interesting with group discussions and shows a lot of videos realted to the topic that are also very interesting. The MSP assignments are alittle out there but other thatn that this class is good and not so hard to get a good grade.

she's not bad. pretty easy. 2 midterms, 1 final, not cumulative (28% each), 6% class participation & 1 group project (10%). just read the book and study. participation counts, even if it's asking a question or one word answers. must take notes. tests come from her notes & textbook, but mainly notes.

Dont see why everyone is being negative. I found this class interesting. Yes attendance counts and this is not one an "I never have to come in to get an A" class. U will need to take notes, read the book & know terms. Beyond that, put in some effort you will get a decent grade. Those that say its hard are sophomores who never took upper classes.

I don't know why everyone is saying she's mean. She is like the nicest professor on earth! You have one group paper and a few exams. They are fair and fairly easy if you study. Go to class and you won't have that much trouble understanding the material. It's pretty interesting. Oh yea, participation helps.

Professor Lyness has huge accomplishments within scientific community. She published more than 8 articles in professional journals. She puts a lot of effort to make sure that the material is well covered. Strongly recommended. Her exams are not hard as long as you study the book, notes, and extra readings.

she's extrememly boring & has an annoying voice & laugh.I slept through most of her classes.she gives 3 exams and 1 project 10%.Her exams are very tricky & in order to do well you have to read the entire book & take extremely good notes! she doesn't curve & doesn't prepare you for the exams at all

Her laugh is annoying and the class is quite boring for me, but she is nice at the same time. Exams are somehow tricky, yet as long as you study her notes AND read the textbook (she likes to give exam questions from the textbook), you will be fine. Also one group project. Curves a bit at the end.
