Dr. Axen is wonderful. She is brilliant, and kind and cares a lot about her students' success. She is very patient and always willing to answer questions, in and outside of class. I absolutely recommend taking her!

It is almost impossible to get a 100 in any of her nutrition classes. She tests on huge amounts of material but will not tell you what to focus on. Study five chapters and then 75 points are from one chapter. Information on exam was not distributed evenly at all. Revises her requirements for projects after most of the class has begun working.

she teaches alot per class and does not welcome questions unless its exactly what is on the slide. would love to see her try to explain the concepts with out looking at her slides every ten seconds. pre-read otherwise you wont follow her bio chemistry concepts

She is brilliant and has very high standards. If all other professors were like her, Brooklyn College would have the level of Columbia University and other Ivy League schools. Very helpful, and wants you to learn. Great explanations of difficult material. Know her lectures, and you will have no problem on the exams. Hot!!!

she's a great professor who explained the material very well and in an interesting manner- most of us wanted to come to class cause it was so interesting- just study exactly what she teaches in class and you'll know the stuff- only one problem was that most people got lower grades than they expected at the end of the semester

Prof. Axen is great. She takes a difficult subject and makes it understandable. Exams are long and hard with some questions from previous quizzes. She gives an extra credit project at the end of the semester worth a total of 8 points and whatever you get gets added to whatever your final grade is.
