Dr DeZur is the best at teaching English, it is clear she has a passion for writing and the subject. This course was easy for me because I love writing essays and discussions, but for others, they would consider it too much reading and writing. PLEASE WRITE YOUR ESSAYS ON TIME! Your grade is depending on that.

The sweetest women professor i've met at Delhi. She's super understanding and super sweet. I wish all my professors were like her, theres a lot of work but shes too adorable to even be mad at the fact you have so much to do. 11/10 would take a class with her again.

I personally hate English but DeZur made it almost easy. I wouldnt want to take this class with any other professor. She does do groups and they will grade you in the end. But the class is easy even if you dont do a majority of the reading.

I don't agree with her teaching methods but she's lenient with grading. If you do your work then you'll do well. I don't understand why she forces students to read their work out loud though because it can cause a lot of tension and unnecessary insecurities but *shrug*.

She was super nice when I first met her, however she never tells us when we have an assignment in Vankco hall. And even when I've checked it said nothing was due for that specific day and when I got to class there was an assignment

Dr. DeZur was a fantastic teacher. I went into her class expecting to be assailed with redundancy, but she made class interesting and I learned a lot! She was extremely helpful, and I would highly recommend her classes!

Comment:

Dezur is a fantastic teacher. She changed the way I write and read by 360 degrees. She is a very intelligent and interesting person. Her excercises are always different and interactive. Though she might be a tough grader, you will do very well if you TRY! If you actually think about what you're actually reading and writing you will do fine.

Interesting that all the negative ratings show about the same level of proficiency in English and were all posted during a time that Professor DeZur was on sabbatical. Looks like a smear campaign to me. I found her to be thoughtful, engaging, intelligent, and very down to Earth.
