He is a God who no longer graces us with his presence at Brooklyn College! I love that man to death! He literally writes the code on the chalkboard like a God. He lets you redo homework if it's wrong, like a God. & his tests are quite long but if you do the homework and put in an effort to understand the coursework, it's an awesome class to take!

For not knowing how to write Hello World before this class, he did a good job of bringing us through the basics of C++ in a clear manner. The labs were extremely helpful, though I wish we had a few more minutes to spend on them. I needed tutoring on some logic/syntax stuff but after doing codelabs, homework, ended on a good note.

Unless you're proficient in SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle, do not take his class. You will be teaching yourself everything from day one. He lectures about theories and history and then slaps you in the face with homework that takes 5 hours and is about 40 pages printed. His tests have nothing to do with his lectures and more with syntax.

Extremely detailed homework that requires minimum 30 pages printed showing each and every step you take. If requirements aren''t met to his outrageously specific standards he will mark it wrong and you will fail. Do not take him if possible.

Told the class exactly what to do in order to receive a good grade. Although he doesn't require attendance, his notes are extremely important as they are helpful with writing programs. I love his teaching style. My advice: Go to class and take down his notes, do the programs, and the programs help you do well on the tests.

Great professor! If you do the assignments (8 of them), you will learn a lot in his class. The exams (midterm & final) are long so make sure you write fast. He's a fair grader. I thought his wording was confusing sometimes but he always clarified my confusions when I asked. He's always very helpful via emails. Take him whenever you get a chance

He explains very well, detail by detail, very precise. Another good thing about him is that he always responds if you have questions. The bad part and the reason why I don't recommend him, is that he makes students feel stupid, keeps saying we are not intelligent enough. He can be harsh and mean.

As an A grade student, please avoid him. Even though he explains the material clearly, he grade the exams in an unfair fashion. Even though you answer the question correctly in the exam, he still take points off despite showing your work. Plus it's not that easy just to earn at least a B.

He is very unfair grader and takes points off for something he didn’t even ask. His exams are simply too long, there is no time to go back and check your answers.

This guy's class is tough! He explains materials simple and clearly. However there is no point when the the materials covered aren't barely in the Test and the test itself is a whole new complex problems. It's extremely hard to get even above a B to the least. If you have to take this class, then I would recommend avoiding this professor at all cost!

As a mathematics class, the only way you'll learn and understand is if you do practice problems as much as you can. You don't need to really pay attention in his class, just know what topics are going to be on the exam, do the assignments, hw and practice questions by yourself to get the understanding, you'll get an A and you don't even need to go to class to do this..... His explanation in class are really broad and no good practices are done, you're teaching ureself literally. Other than that if your looking for a professor who actually teaches and do complex problems to help you understand, then i wouldn't recommend him.

There was lots of seniors in our class and people who already knew there stuff. No one tried to say anything that his test was extremely unfair to the people learning for the first time. Either way if you tried, his excuse is "class average is high" or makes fun of you. Highly Not recommended!!!

This guy is funny and all, but at the end of the day it seems like he cares about nothing but showing off how smart he is. He makes tests have "smart" questions the relate to the subject but are not at undergrad level difficulty. On top of that you have to explain the solution in written sentences (more time). Your barely prepared for the tests

His test, and his assignments requires you to write lots of thorough explanation (for pretty much every question) even if the solution is as intuitive as 1+1=2. Not only that, he will ask you to explain a question that is exactly the same except it has different values and you will need to explain it all over again, even if the answer is obvious.

If you need to take this class, I would highly recommend this prof. You will learn this material, because his teaching style is extrodinary. Just don't fall behind. He gives out 7 projects,a lab assignments you are not required to hand in,and two exams which are based on the labs and projects. He wrote the book, so he knows this material

He teaches well about the course, and answers questions from students who don't understand the course. The programming assignments are tricky but straightforward; the exams are long & surprising but straightforward. He is an easy grader; he got a good sense of humor. He hands out examples, which can be helpful for studying.
