Comment:

I took the LLC ENGH 101 and he was a great professor that made English digestible. We only had 3 major papers and helped us through the way with small assignments that broke the paper down and gave great feedback as well. He is also very helpful in office hours and gives a lot more attention there. Overall, I would take a class with him again.

He is really, really nice. He clearly cares & wants you to learn. He gives the best personal & most detailed feedback ever . Then he allows you to rewrite all your papers. His lectures are boring & his organization style (like how you are graded & what is due when) is stressful if you are left brained, but I would totally take his class again.

Very sweet and nice guy. I had 3 papers over the semester that weren't very time consuming. I took the LLC English course and we had 3 movie nights too! Overall, an easy class with a genuinely caring professor.

He is the NICEST professor! If you have the chance to take him, do it. He really enjoys teaching and you can tell. He gives about 3 papers throughout the semester. There are nightly readings that he goes over in class. Responds very quickly to emails and is flexible with deadlines (given a good reason).

Lots of reading and homework but he keeps it interesting and fun. Amazing Professor who really cares about the students and the course material. He responds quickly to email and questions, loves what he does and it shows. The class isn't easy but you learn a lot. Allows rewrites if you get your assignment in on time.

Comment:

Professor Thompson is a great professor, he assigns a few lengthy papers, but he gives very helpful feedback and allows you to revise to get a better grade. It was hard to stay awake in his class because he loved to show us a few boring documentaries, other than that I'd recommend taking his composition class. I know I plan ENGH 202 with him again!

Dr Thompson only assigned a few lengthy papers, but gave good feedback and is willing to work with you on an issue if you just talk to him. Lectures ran the full time and only occasional breaks. Didn't use the textbooks much (I personally didn't buy of them and still got an A) if at all. I'd recommend him.

K Thompson will give you lots of great feedback on papers if you ask for it. I found him humorous and insightful. You may like him if your intended concentration is ITBus. He has strong knowledge of IT history , innovation and related topics. There is a lot of writing in BIS300 & my skills developed in this class. Lots of reading and writing.

Without a doubt one of the most respected professors at Mason. Unlike other English professors, Professor Thompson grades papers based on what you are (a student and not an English graduate), he made me become a much better writer and I have learned a lot of important lessons based on the books we read and movies we watched. I 100% recommend him!

One of my favorite professors I have had so far at Mason. He cares so much about his students and how they are doing in the class. There is papers and blog posting which with a little effort are not bad at all. The lectures do get boring but attendance is taken. Had Prof Thompson for the summer. He's a very nice professor who cares a lot about his students. He's sort of a goofy guy but it was a rather interesting class with the several topics that we discussed. If you are the type of person that likes to leave early or miss class, this isn't the class for you (The professor doesn't like that!).

Comment:

Class is kind of interesting. Easy Easy English teacher. Took the Business and Econ LLC English class with him. 3 papers and some easy blogposts. You don't have to listen to his lectures because he doesn't asses you on anything in his lectures! Super easy A. Papers can be revised and returned for a better grade after he grades the first class.
