Comment:

Methods of Research is a boring topic but Prof Dugan makes it a lot less painful. I really respected that she genuinely wants her student's feedback. The Tests were tough and the paper is a big piece- but on par for a 350 level class. She often went out of her way to make the class manageable and clearly wants every one of her students to succeed.

Comment:

Prof. Dugan is great at what she does, and when you leave her class you don't feel as if you wasted your time. I'll be VERY! clear in her course requirements, come to class and do the work ( show effort, and some type of passion in what you doing) and you'll pass with what you put in.

Comment:

Nice professor but goes off on tangents and doesnt make the material covered on tests clear. Will often cover 10% of a topic and then get distracted. Even recognized that her ratings often say she is disorganized or goes on tangents yet doesnt care. Things on tests are sometimes never mentioned in class.

Comment:

Professor Dugan is a great professor. She went over the material at a solid pace so that it did not seem dragged out or go by too fast. The only thing keeping from a 5/5 is that fact that she can be a little bit quiet sometimes and it can be hard to understand her. Other than that, great professor!

Had fun in her class she made every class interesting and it wasn't rare for her to cut to the straight facts. I enjoyed how she kept us interested and stated how she felt about certain ideas and views. We discussed modern issues and issues society is having with certain contributors. Let it be drugs, mental illness or political issues.

Dr. Dugan is an outstanding professor. She interacts with her class and keep us engaged. She can bounce around from time to time but she comes back to her point. I have taking her a few times and would take her many more if I could. There is one main paper due and you literally work on it the entire semester. No way you can fail if you do your work

Comment:

Dugan is by far a great contribution to the SOC department. She is hilarious and her lectures are always entertaining. Attendance is mandatory but you wouldn't want to miss it anyways. There is one paper throughout the semester that was the only hard part about it, but it's worth it considering it gives you experience researching. Great class.

Dugan is a great professor. She is very chill and likes to converse, she's a sociologist so that's expected. She does give out a fair amount of work. However it's doable. You will need to purchase books. I really enjoyed her class and would recommend her.

Such a great asset to the SOC department at Eastern! She is fair and thoroughly covers pertinent information. She needs to crack down on the side talk and cell phone use by the immature, barely out of high school students. If you are reading this ... put your cell down during class. It's rude. Overall--GREAT PROFESSOR.

Took this class as a requirement outside of my major and I can't stop recommending her to other students. She is a perfect teacher in my opinion. Always willing to take a different opinion from hers and offers to share her side rather than just saying no.

Dugan is so intelligent- she will challenge your ways of thinking in the greatest way. Definitely a teacher to take a class with. I wouldn't say she is an easy grader (I've had 3 classes with her), so you definitely earn your grade. But she's laid back and not afraid to address issues other professors wouldn't touch. She usually lets you out early

My favorite teacher so far at Eastern, I am not even a Soc major and she is so passionate about her field that I considered switching. Although she goes on a tangent sometimes she gets her points across. She likes to talk to the students as people and get to know them personally. Cool teacher! TAKE HER! :)
