Kirk is a little crazy, a little smarmy, and a little fruity. He's very good at advising on projects (though not the best instructor), and he's the only person I know that could make a Gertrude Stein play watchable (if not awesome). Take a class of his if you've got a sense of fun and a desire to do solid work.

Kirk is a better director then he is a teacher. He DOES hold grudges. I heard him describe one student as a premadonna and another as a "nerd." He is the funniest prof at Bennington and is much smarter than he lets on. He can see right through bull and isn't affraid to speak his mind, which will someday get him into trouble.

Kirk is one of the friendliest theater professors on earth. He can kick your ass pretty hard in class, but that depends on how hard you work. If you want to study acting in depth then take some risks in his classes, and you'll see how much you can grow. He is awesome!!!
