Comment:

I took this class from jan- march in class than the remainder online. Hard to understand her sometimes because of accent, which made this class really un-engaging. Class consisted of 2 exams, 1 project and occasional small quizzes/doc watching. Class was an easy pass but I was bored most of the time so I wouldn't take again.

Comment:

Grading is very clear. She assigns weekly readings, which isnt bad and you dont have to read them because she usually discusses them in class. The semester is based off of 2 exams and 1 project. The project is very easy and she allows you to do it with a partner. For the exams, she allows you to come in with a cheat sheet. I would take her again.

Comment:

I've taken Prof. Koizumi multiple times and all her classes are pretty much the same. You'll have 3-5 easy assignments, a project you'll have to present, and midterm and final. Nothing is difficult and everything is pretty straightforward. She gives review sheets and lets you bring in a cheat sheet. Shes also extremely caring and sweet.

This class was okay but I felt it was better off as an online class. Don't bother buying textbook, she goes through each chapter summary in class. Midterm and final based of those summaries "learned" in class & few articles.

She's an easy A!!! But be careful, her grading system is what she goes by so don't be surprised when you get a bad grade b/c she doesn't teach like a high school teacher. Overall, take her but make sure to meet her deadlines for assignments and def study her study guide before the exam.

She is a very nice lady but I don't know if I would take her again. Lecture did not hold my attention at all and her test can be confusing, as in she makes them herself then confuses herself. The book is only needed to reference some topics. I didn't buy it, I used it on reserve in the library. Either way if you do what you have to do you'll pass

Very nice professor but her thick accent makes it hard to understand her sometimes. Felt like the lecture was a waste because she taught straight from the slides. You need the textbook for exams though.

For those saying you dont need the book. Its not true! the slides are NOT enough to do well in this class. You NEED to read the chapters because she will give some questions that are not in the slides. She does curve, do the extra credits. Shes a sweetheart.

She is a an old lady, and a bit ignorant when it comes to watching over students during her tests, thus, the tests are easy. Her lectures are long, repetitive and boring. Do not waste your money buying the book!!! You will not open it!! Easy to pass, but most likely you won't learn much, though, most of the material is already a common knowledge.

God awful class. Horrible unclear professor. No one has any idea what she is talking about; lives in her own world. Read the book before the test and you'll be fine, it is relatively easy to do well in her class (B-A- range) Take it with another professor if you can. Be ready for extremely boring lectures, huge waste of your time.

Do not buy the book. She teaches directly from slides which she puts on Blackboard. Open notes tests. Just bring the outline of the slides. I made an index of the slides before tests so info was searchable, but not needed. She doesn't add much to the topic, just what's on the slides and in the articles. "Major" project was a paper on an interview.

Definitely easy to get an A in her class but don't let that fool you because you'll begin to slack off and get a B! Her exams are very straightforward and she is a very easy going and helpful professor I can not wait to take program planning with her in the Fall!
