She is really sweet. Her lecturers are based on the textbook and its like looseleaf sections that you can bring to class and study along with it. Quizzes, some are based on discussion but rmr to write alot of details and explain. Her exams are MC. once a week you hvae to read NY TIMEs and them give a summary in class- participate

she's really nice & considerate. When you're late, she marks you present if you go change it even if you come 45 minutes late. Her lectures are based on the textbook. She is a tough grader though. Make sure to answer with mad details on your quizzes. Midterm & finals are MC. Read the NY times, sometimes she doesn't care though but i liked her.

Professor Jacobson is such a kind-hearted, caring, teacher.She has real concern for her students and wants them to be educated. I really like her class and would recommend it to others. Word for the wise: attend all classes, participate, and take good notes. You will do fine.

The class is 1 part boring, 1 part common sense, and 2 parts quit smoking. She's kind of crazy, and not very good and directing conversations, and poses awkward questions. Study for quizzes and exams, even if you think its easy. Questions are detailed. Quizzes are short answer, and exams are MC. Read NYTimes once in a while, and you'll be ok.

She's not as bad as the other comments say, although you do have to pay very close attention to her if you want a decent grade. i took her during spring of 09, got a 60 on the first quiz, then made sure I paid close attention and did some studying and did extremely well on future exams and the final and got an A from her. It's not impossible.

Does not even give reviews.... gives you like a 1 minute notice before class ends about any quizzes... and she does not even write on the board. all you gotta do is pretty much write as much as you can when she talks cause thats the exam in a nutshell.... unless you want to read every page in the textbook

she is very bad and if u want to fail the class,then u should take her...u need to pay attention to her read a new york times every-week(waste $2.00) no matter whether u study hard or whatever, the exam would kill ur grade(35% 40%)

Boring class. she goes really fast in the class and write the words, not notes, whatever she likes. you have to pay attention to copy what she says. Somehow you have to study more than she talks in the class. Reading the textbook is important.

She is very dull and doesn't make the class interesting, but just be sure to pay attention to what she says & read the chapters, she puts it on the exams. Her grading technique is really unfair, the final and midterm is 40% each !! and she definately does have favorites

Class was fine and not too boring, but it's true- she is an unfair grader. I'm a hard worker and usually get A's and she gave me an undeserved B. A friend of mine told me she got a D. I only hear bad things about grades from her class.
