I have only finished half of her Intro to Hinduism course at Reed college, but she has continued to impress me since the day we started class. Her course is reading heavy, but she also includes focus pages for students who have difficulty/learning challenges with reading. She is a kind/brilliant soul and it is has been an honor to learn from her.

Kristin's style of teaching (at least within the intro class I had with her), didn't work well for me; she was very hands-on as a conference leader, and I prefer professors who leave the bulk of the conversation to the students. That said, I marveled at her ability to always show up to class so enthusiastic and brimming over with knowledge!

KRISTIN IS AMAZING. Our entire FYSEM class loves her and our only complaint is that she's not teaching FYSEM in the spring too! Protip: go to her office hours to revise an essay. She'll teach you so much.

I love Kristin! I think she is a great teacher and she really makes the class exciting and keeps it interesting. There is a fair amount of reading assigned, but if you don't do it, you'll still get a lot out of the class. If you do do it, however, the class will help you understand the reading even more! She also has generous grading policies.

Kristen seems very nice but can be quite a harsh person. Class seems easy because she is super interested in it but she's not a great facilitator of discussion, and she resorts to gradeschool techniques. Unusually harsh grader for the seemingly low bar she sets. Unclear prompts and tests that recall unemphasized information were annoying.

At first I felt like she was talking down to our class and treating us like little kids, but I quickly realized that she actually is just THAT excited about what she's teaching. She explains things very clearly and makes class interesting. However, if you do not do the readings or participate in class, don't expect to get much out of it.

One of the best professors I've had at Bard. Absolutely amazing; class has never felt dull or repetitive or over extended with Kristen at the helm. She knows how to present the material in a way that makes it engaging and accessible, even when it's rather dry. She also just 'gets' what being a student is all about, and she's always willing to help

She is incredibly nice but I often felt like she dumbed down her material and was treating us like small children. Good for idealistic freshman who need coddling but thats about it.

Kristin Scheible is an excellent teacher and advisor. She somehow manages to keep on topic and make fun little digressions at the same time. Funny, charming, clear, direct, and extremely helpful, especially outside of class. She is passionate about her subject and is always willing to help.

Kristin is, without hesitation, one of the best professors here at Bard. Her greatest gift to the class is her excitment and genuine thrill of teaching and learning (from her students, just as we learn from her). She's honest, open, extremely approachable, and a fair grader. Class discussions and one-on-on time with Kisten are not to be missed.

Kristen loves what she teaches and it shows. A bright personality, and she lets you rewrite any paper, as many times as you like (though perhaps not the last one...haven't gotten there yet). She likes to bring in related stories that give depth, and encourages discussion, which is good, because the text tends to bring up quite a few questions.

the most wonderful professor at bard. She is glittering. Her class is difficult and the reading plenty, but she makes it fun and all worth while. I advise everyone to take a class with, no matter what it is, I promise you'll love it.

Kristen is awesome. She moderates discussions extremely well and is encouraging. She also takes time to give you detailed feedback on your work, and is glad to meet and discuss despite her busy schedule. She is very patient and forgiving. She can get a bit distracted in class.
