I just have to say - taking chem with Eisen has haunted my gpa and prospects for graduate school even six years later and has resulted in me fighting to retake this class just so I can actually get to learn the material this time around so I can go to grad school. Don't ever take this professor for any class. You will regret it.

Just don't take this professor. Nice lady and you can tell she loves science but you will barely learn anything. Tests/quizzes are impossible because she grades so hard and are on subject matter that we never learned. Avoid stress and save your GPA- don't take this professor

Not interesting. A very long boring class. She doesn't teach, then tests us on stuff we barely learned and is a very tough grader. Don't be fooled by interesting sounding name, it's horrible and a cold room and filled with tangents. DO NOT TAKE EISEN.

If you are considering being in WLP and you want to be a science major, here's what you do: Don't come to this class or cohort. This class will ruin your science gpa.Just have a regular freshman year without WLP or Eisen, and you will be fine. Save yourself and your gpa, unlike the rest of us who made the mistake of WLP.

her exams are super hard. She is the only chem professor in the whole dept to give a lab exam. And it was EXTREMELY hard. I cried while taking it, and I wasn't the only one. She didn't review for the final. She didn't even specify what would be on it. She doesn't curve either. Terrible teacher. Just terrible. Not worth it at all. Don't come to WLP.

sure, her lectures can be really boring and i'm not really sure how much i actually learned in the class. but she is an extremely nice lady. available to help with concerns, reasonable with her work, and up for workload negotiations =) did not mind this class overall.

Especially in lecture, professor eisen is great. she explains everything in just the right amount of detail and provides interesting real world examples that pertain to what you're learning. my only criticism is with the lab. It wasn't always clear what she expected of us, and therefore grading was pretty harsh on the lab reports. But A- to her

The professor usually keeps the classes interesting because they deal with topics that students who have signed up for the class care about. Lectures are not very long and most labs are interesting. I was glad to get this class as a non-science major for my GCR.

This was among the worst courses I have taken in my entire life. So much was expected from us, when so little was offered. The quiz/test questions would come out of nowhere.The professor was a poor lecturer and talked very quietly. Class will single handedly dismantle my GPA. I feel cheated out of my time, grade, and money by taking this course.

I don't know what these other people are talking about. Dr. Eisen is so nice, wants to help everyone in WLP with Chem or whatever they need help with, and her class is not impossible. If you do the work and read the book you will be fine. Prospective WLP: go for it and don't be scared by the other reviews.

Worst profesor ever. This class made me feel like I was in middle school again. So much busy work. Quizzes are totally different from what she teachers in class. Writing projects. Study of atoms, some cells, not what i signed up for.

Worked and completed 10 times the amount of work in this class than any other and recieved my worst grade. Does not explain anything. If you are very good at chem you'll do good but otherwise stay away. Will destroy GPA.

i cant stress more how much i regret taking chemistry with the wlp program. Though eisen clearly knows a lot about chemistry you never will. you wont know you were doing anything wrong til after youve failed the exam and lab write ups. not understanding of those who need decent grades. cut your losses and drop out while you still can.wlpdropout

Prof Eisen's dean's seminar was the easiest science class I have ever taken. She's amusing, nice, and understanding. If you need help, she provides it if asked, and clarifies topics for the class that were confusing. I enjoyed her class and would recommend her for a dean's seminar.

I do not even know where to begin...Quizzes were hard, tests were impossible. Average scores were usually in the 60's with NO curve...to make matters worse her lectures are way too boring and she made me cry more than once...on a more positive note I became a master at Sudoku...too bad I didn't learn any Chem :(

Avoid this class at all costs!!! She is the worst prof. I have ever had. Don't think that because you are a good student that you can do well in this class....NOT POSSIBLE. No matter how hard you work, it will be for nothing. Out of 13 girls in WLP 5 dropped the class because of her.

I heart Dr. Eisen. Her voice is kind of lulling, but she is a fount of knowledge. She is challenging, approachable, and covers all the essentials pretty nicely. Demanding classes.
