If you read the PP that she makes you print out for each class then you will be fine. Do the X Cred Essay she gives you. Its more like current events (use this website innocenceproject.com). Then Do well on her 3 tests and you'll get a good grade. Bad thing is you can be 2 1/2 points away from a higher grade and she won't give you it.

She is a great Professor. I'm not to into science but she makes it enjoyable. One student asked about 50 questions per class and Prof. B was still able to keep the class interested and she was able to complete the lecture. I got an A my friend got a C. I actually studied...this was a summer course btw

I had her as a lab instructor, she really knows the material. I was on the verge of failing 108 and with some help she was able to help me get an 86 on the lecture final. I'm not into science nor do I have any fasicination towards it...but if can take her, she definetly makes it worth the while

I don't think there can be a better professor than her. She is helpful, pleasant, polite and accomodating. Her tests are from the notes and she gives review sheets that are almost like the tests. She is first rate and gets an A++++ in my book

I agree with all the ratings on here! She is one of the most helpful, nice, understanding professor's in JJAY. Her tests are straight forward.. right from her notes (which are on black board). No typical professor! She goes out of her way to help her students! Gotta take her!!

You'll be doing yourself a great disservice if you don't take her. She is a dream professor! She doesn't expect you to become a For. Scientist she just expects you to learn the material. Which is fairly easily being that she explains herself clearly and anything you don't understand she will go over. However the lab Prof. Contrearas is the WORSE!!
