4401Stephenson is the most incredible professor in the department! She is unbelievably nice and helpful, and really cares about the success of her students. She expects hard work, and her class definitely isn't a "bird" course, but she makes even the worst readings so fascinating! No UWO Poli Sci student's academic career is complete without her.

She is a bit of a frustrated statistician who loves to dig into details that have little to do with the course outline. Not a bad Prof but she can be abrupt at times. Hard marker who sets tough exams. Not an easy 'A' at all. Don't take this if you are looking for a 'bird' course --- it isn't.

Prof. Stephenson is easily the best professor in the Political Science department. She is brilliant, open-minded and encouraging. She will make you love even the driest of subjects and will encourage your input and thoughts. Make sure you take at least one course with her while you're at Western!

Overall this Prof did a good job in teaching an introductory methods course to students who have no background. While I don't believe I have the skills to do my own primary research after taking the course, I do have a keener understanding and a greater respect for methods in academia. Lectures can be a bit dry but for a methods course they're fine
