Dr. B is an amazing professor, and makes it clear how much she cares about her students. She has high expectations, but she wants everyone to do their best and will help you in any way she can. You can learn so much in her classes, and she will even help you with other classes if you ask. If you are Polisci or IR, please take her!!

Comment:

Hardest Ive ever worked for a B but also actually learned the content of the course. Extremely intelligent, humble, and caring, Dr. B is intellectually open minded and a great professor. If you care about learning its definitely worth taking her class, does a good job about keeping the reading discussions interesting too.

Dr. Baglione is such a caring professor. She assigns a lot of work and has high expectations but is always there to help if you're struggling. Participation really matters so try to participate at least once a class. She's a tough grader but her assignments are clear and easy to understand. If you make an effort, your grade will reflect that.

Comment:

Dr. Baglione is one of the best professors in the Political Science Department. She is quite difficult as her expectations are incredibly high, but if it is clear to her you are making an effort your grade will reflect that. She assigns A LOT of reading in ALL her classes but dials back if it becomes to much. Incredibly kind and supportive.

Dr. Baglione is a fabulous woman. She gives a ton of work, but she's a great teacher and she is always willing to help. She actually goes out of her way to help her students whenever they need her. All you need to show is that you put the work in and you will be fine. Can't stress enough how great she is!!

I had her for Research Methods and I thought she was awesome. Although the class wasn't all that interesting (none of the research methods are) she did the best with what she had. Writing the paper was tough but she was extremely helpful. GO IN AND SEE HER FOR HELP, it will pay off.

I took her intro class in '01 and I did not get the same vibe. I am conservative and opinionated and got an A. I didn't get the impression she is a leftist either. If you know your stuff and participate, you'll do fine. I had a very good experience. She is also very easy to look at :-)

I have taken Prof Baglione for 2 classes and she is my advisor. She really really knows her stuff. Her intro to IR class is a ton of work and the exams aren't easy but you'll get a B/B+. For Research she assigns you the book she wrote but she wrote it for this class so its helpful. She'll hold your hand through the process. Very nice woman!

Dr. Baglione is a good teacher, if you agree with her. I studied political science and she is by far the most politically biased professor in the dept. That is not to say she is stupid, but be aware of this fact prior to registering. She endorses left wing, gender based politics that some might find disconcerting.

Dr. Baglione is extremely interested in w/e she is teaching. It is extremely difficult to keep up with the readings and she is very passionate about the subject. If you are not a poli sci major or into gender studies, i would not recommend this class. It was difficult to get through, although she is very helpful and I didn't do bad at all

Gave a ton of reading. There was no possible way to finish all the assigned readings but what I did read was always interesting. Good class discussions. Very hard grader and obsessed with proper grammar. I worked my ass off but I learned so much and looked at issues affecting women in such a different light. Be prepared to work hard and learn much.

Dr. Baglione is probably the best prof in poli-sci besides Joes. Global Security was awesome, however, a lot of the material was a repeat of her Intro Class. Paper was tough, tests were managable. Do most of the reading, participate in discussions, take good notes and you're fine. (though I guess you could say that about any class) TAKE IF YOU CAN!

This is the third class i've taken with Dr. Baglione and she's never been easy but this class was rediculous. More reading than you could ever get done, we never talked about anything good and the tests, journals and papers were excessive. Global Gender Issues is the worst class in the POL Sci dept.
