Easy online class. Take him if you need your GE fulfilled. Three projects that aren't too bad. I didn't need to buy the book or use it ever. Quizzes are easy and only like 5 questions. He responds pretty quickly if you have any questions. Two discussions posts per week, kinda annoying but overall easy class.

Comment:

Prof Mariusz is a great person and is passionate about his work. Even though I hate politics, comm law was really interesting and he assigned us small assignments to do at home and we have to submit to him via email before the next day.

Best professor I've had. Such a kind man who genuinely cares for his students. He has very clear grading criteria and it's so easy to get an A in the class. I will miss this class!

Probably my favorite professor I have ever had at Cal Poly to be honest. I took this class during the summer and attended every class meeting. His class was interesting and fun if you get involved in the conversation. Do your reading before the test and you should pass the tests with an A. The guideline for the speech is the speech. 10/10.

I would take notes just to stay awake. He's super nice but my god what a boring subject. All lectures are online so you don't have to take notes, the hardest part was the group project when you're stuck with people that don't understand the criteria. One solo presentation and one group project presentation, some written assignments + mid and final.

If you show up, do the assignments, and study for tests you will get an A. He is a very genuine and understanding professor. There are extra credit opportunities and he does round up your final grade. Would definitely recommend!

He's a very caring and respected teacher. He is always there to help you if you have any issue and will talk to you about anything, it can be about the class or just life in general. He's definitely the best teacher I've had in the 3 semester I've been here in PCC.

Very easy class with a boring topic. Professor Oz is extremely nice and accommodating, and is always willing to help a student succeed. The lectures are a bit long. The tests are very easy- both tests were open notes and multiple choice- and the written assignments are graded very fairly, if not lightly.

Prof. Oz is a very fun. He is always so happy and motivated. We need more professors like him. The lectures are very long and expects participation. Only two test: Midterm and Final. A couple papers and one group project but nothing major. As long as you show up to class you should be okay. I would take him again. Highly recommend.

He's funny! He has expectations for what a college student entails, so he is very honest with what he has to sayfeedback. Has powerful thoughts & interesting views. Very understanding, you just have to understand him as well. Encourages open-mindedness. Speeches are not hard, just TRY YOUR BEST & you will be graded well. Take home midterm & final.

WITTY and gives great modern view points. He doesn't require you to buy the book he wrote which is very humbling of him because I recommend it a lot. He's very helpful and accurate, NO TRICKS, and really wants students to pass.

Wonderful, funny professor who goes out of his way to help you out. Class is essentially 2 journals, a book evaluation, a group project, the midterm, and the final. He gave us the questions that were going to be on the midterm and final was take-home. Read the book, participate in class, and do the (easy) assignments and it's an easy A.

Really good class,excellent professor. He is very laid back, so the environment in the classroom is relaxed, but his lectures are actually on-point and super-informative. If communication is your passion, this is a great professor to know and study with. Always available to discuss concepts and explore new ideas, never too busy to help.

As everyone has already stated, this is a very easy class BUT the class is extremely boring. Dr. Oz is a very chill and laid back professor. I learned very little in this class. It is without a doubt, the easiest college course I have ever taken. It's almost impossible not to get an A in his class.

Class should be titled Interpersonal Communication! As the reviewer below me mentioned, a very easy class. Now, just because I say that doesn't mean I didn't learn anything. Easy-going professor; super easy class. Gave 100% credit for any attempted speeches as long as they followed the requirements, the midterm was take-home, the final was based off of the questions he gave in his study guide. You'll need the book to ace the tests. Easiest class I've ever had in 4 years of college experience.
