To say the least this professor is extremely tough. Missing class will have you behind for test, no matter the weather. Be greatly cautioned before adding him to your schedule. This man is hard.

He is not for everyone. If you are into philosophy, take him. This guy knows what is he talking about. If you are willing to learn and put effort into your class, take his class.

Great professor and overall a nice person. Does a great job simplifying the positions of various philosophers with the appearance of ease. I took Dr. Bradley for two classes and would recommend his class to anyone who is serious about learning something; not just drifting away into the meaningless B.S. of supposed "college life."

One of the worst Professors that I have ever had. Do NOT take him. He's rude and unprofessional. He's not available to help you. And if you ask a question, he replies with a comment implying that you're stupid. He acts as if he hates his job. He also cancels classes last minute, but this is a class that class time is needed in order to understand.

I have had Bradley for critical thinking and modern philosophy. He teaches students not slackers, read your textbook, take notes, ask intelligent questions easy B. If you don't like to read, don't take a phl course. Great teacher

I have taken Dr. Bradley twice and have received an A both times in his class. Yes he is difficult, but only in relation to other professors at SHSU. You may not agree with his views, in fact you probably don't, but he knows his stuff. He's not for everybody, but that's because not everybody is willing to work hard enough to pass his class.

Rude, obnoxious, and unclear. Overall very unprofessional. Obviously knows his philosophy but teaches a Plato dominated course. As a teacher it's as if he took a job he has little or no interest of excelling in. The course is merely a stage for him to push the sales of his book.

Very difficult, self-indulged, wanna be comedian!! Although his tests are word for word the notes that he gives if you don't live and die for Plato and all those dead guys - don't take this class!!!!! Also he makes you read his stupid play just so he can make an extra buck, it has nothing to do with Aesthetics!!

Below-average to horrible prof. Not well-liked. Once in class, when a student asked for definition of a certain word, his response was "There are these things called dictionaries." You be the judge. Hardly ever gives A's. Apparently preoccupied due to newborn child. Was a little cool towards me as I told him I was in the military. Don't recommend.

He's hard, because he actually expects you to think! He is not offensive to Christians...he's a Christian! He just stands up for what he believes, and doesn't like to be told otherwise. I think everyone should be required to take his class before they graduate. It's one of the few where you actually learn something!

Ok so he is pretty offensive, but just don't take it to heart. He is a little bit crazy, but definitely NOT THE WORST prof. Just take all the test, show up to class, and give some what intelligent answers on written portion of the test and I guarantee he will pass you.

This man is awful. He is so unorganized and arrogant. Even if you sit in the very front row you can barely hear him because he mumbles. He tries to make jokes but they're not funny at all. His tests are crazy hard, and you have one every week and a half or so. He makes you read his play that he compares to the works of Shakespeare. False. It's a terrible class with a horrible professor. Do NOT take him EVER. You'll regret it.

He is hard, and you should definitely try not to miss class. His tests are basically just repeating word for word what he said in the lecture. Don't draw attention to yourself or you'll end up with a nickname that you will never live down. I will take him again, just because I actually felt like I learned something in his class.

Memorize your notes and you should do fine on the tests. He is funny and very offensive to some people (religious, cj majors) Go ahead and take this class if you only need one class in Philosopy, but don't ask questions you'll just get more confused.

I forgot the course number but it was Ancient and Medieval Philosophy. This guy is the meat grinder and most students do poorly on his tests. That being said, I don't regret taking him. He was incredibly interesting and I left with an increased interest in the subject. He can also write in Greek which is pretty cool.

I've taken this man for two classes, and would gladly have taken him for any other classes he taught. If you are lazy, stupid, or unwilling to genuinely LEARN the material, take someone else. If you want to learn philosophy, Marshell Bradley is a great professor. He is hands down the most brilliant man i've ever met
