She was horrid. I would ask her questions in class and even go to her with questions after class and she treated me like an idiot. Unfortunately for people who love German, she is your only choice for classes.

Dr. Brown is very helpful and cares about her subject. You have to do most of the work at home though. If you don't do the homework, you won't understand the class. If you make it clear that you want to learn German and you study, you will be rewarded. She compliments you if you do what you're supposed to. She doesn't have patience for slackers.

Dr. Brown knows what she is talking about. I have had her for 3 semesters and went on a program to Austria with her. All the native speakers there totally understood her and thought she knew what she was talking about. She is highly respected in her field and has a kindness about her and general concern for her students.

Hey guys, I thought, I should pass this along. As a german native speaker, i can tell you that dr. brown doesnt have any clue about the german language. I thought i would take this course as an extra credit, but i really regret this decision. It was supposed to be a fun class but it was a nightmare! AVOID HER, THIS GIRL CANT SPEAK GERMAN

Dr. Brown is a sweet heart. She is hard and demanding, especially about homework. But if you do not do the homework you are wasting her time and yours. If you work hard you will be rewarded in her class. She knows who tries and who doesn't. I am taking her again next semester. That is how good I think she is.

i failed spanish the first time i tried to take it with another teacher and never thought i would try it again, but i did with mrs. brown and she gave me so much confidence. it's a lot of work but she rewards anyone who tries. so if you don't give up it's a great class. she's really sweet

Okay, she starts out really nice and helpful but the more you take German the more brutal it gets. She no longer helps you learn and expects you to do it on your own. She makes us do stupid stuff in class and wastes time when we'd rather but learning in another way. She's friendly outside of class but not so much in class.

Hardcore Meg Brown lives up to her title in every way. You can't coast through any of those classes, but that isn't a bad thing. She pushes because she knows you'll leave the semester with a much better knowledge base. If you have a choice, take Meg.

Pro Brown is a talented linguist. She's helpful in and out of class. She explains thoroughly and assigns meaningful homework that embeds the information into your mind. I recommend her for anyone starting out in German.
