My first class in university by far the most overwhelmed ive ever been academically. He is a great professor though. And was probably the one I am most fond of years later. Taught me that hard work can be just as successful as innate smarts everytime. Took him my first semester and my last. Not one regret.

Dohan is an extremely funny character. He came to class 20 mins late almost each class this semester. Oh, and when he arrived started talking about his life instead of teaching every class. We read the textbook, WSJ, and had tons of aplia. His midterms are super long 12-7pm. Avoid him at all costs.

hands down the smartest man on campus, but the workload is intense. will give you all the hints necessary for exams and in Ec0 101's case will basically post the exam on his website. The most work I've ever done in college but the most I've ever learned. NOT AN EASY A

Professor was all over the place. TAs don't even know what's going on. He is constantly not up to date with the things he assigns, does not give your work back so you don't know where you stand, assigns project work without lecturing anything to help you with it. Just an overall mess. Unorganized. He's too old to be teaching. Smart mind, though.

Great class! You will learn a lot from him. He is very helpful outside of class as well. If you don't understand something, go to his office hours. The man loves to talk to his students.

Michael Dohan is one of the best economics professors in Queens college. The man is brilliant. He is very helpful and always wants to get to know his students better. However, his class is not easy, and he assigns a lot of work over the semester. If you are looking for an easy A, then don't take him. But if you want to learn, then he is your man.

If you major in economics you should take him, you will learn a lot and be prepared for the rest of your classes because of how in depth his class is for an intro course. Requires a lot of outside work though, if you're not prepared to put in a lot of work I would take someone else

He is a very hard teacher you had to learn everything on your own or from his student helpers, who basically do everything for him. He is very old and takes a lot of medication so sometimes his lectures are him babbling. I would not recommend him and his exams are all 3 hrs long if you studied ALOT if you didnt study he gives you 6 hrs to take them

A brilliant brain, no one disputes that. But I think he's gotten too old to teach - assigns 6 papers (each 10+ pages) and keeps revising the assignments while you are doing the papers. He never grades anything or gives anything back on time. He berates students who have weak vocab. He blanks out in the middle of lectures, talks about his meds.

prof dohan is possibly the WORST professor of all queens college. he gives TUNZ of work for an elective class. the paper is made up of 6 papers each one is so long takes you weeks to do and he keeps revising them so you gotta redo them. hes an old man who should not be teaching because you don't learn anything in his class anyways. waste of time!

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! Even if it's the last class open, it's not worth it at all. Tests are extremely hard,hw is 15 hrs a week on aplia, & at the end receive a low grade...you'd rather wait next semester when something else opens up!

One of the most difficult professors I've ever had. Its very hard trying to understand concepts taught in class. You are left to rely on the internet, txtbk & online part of this course. He gives way too much hws & quizzes. Quizzes every 2 weeks or so. Hws every weekend & class days. Most painful class. Do not take if you're not an econ major!!!!!!
