I like that he is willing to come in not during his office hours to help, but then when I went to ask him a question he asked me why I wasn't paying attention in class because he clearly went over it. It doesn't help that he taught this class like BUS 314 was a pre-req, which it's not. Does offer a lot of extra credit though, so you'll be fine.

FIn 330. Don't do it unless you have all the time in the world to read and learn very fast. He is there for you, but don't expect a straight answer. The class is very interesting and there is extra credit opportunity, but watch out.

Exams are much more in-depth than lead on, but managable if you actually READ the chapters. A lot of students dislike his teaching style, but i thought it was a good experience. it's like a sink or swim type of teaching. Either you try hard and get it, or you're lazy and fail.

although I've had this guy for only one day, I can tell he is very cocky, makes snide judgmental remarks, and makes his students feel stupid. Or is it just that he uses very dry humor? I feel bad for the ones he picked on on the first day of class. I'm sure he's brilliant and has a lot to share, so I guess we'll have to learn how to live with him.

For those people who didn't think he is helpful please think again, because when half of the class failed the first midterm, EVERYBODY in the class went to his office TWO WEEKS before the second midterm to seek help. He stayed for 4 hrs EXTRA per lecture days to go over everything in the course! But I have to admit his class is not easy.

He's a great professor. He sparked my interest and always keeps you on your toes. His jokes are blasphemy, but funny as hell, even when you're at the butt end of them. If you don't want to get your hands dirty take it from somebody else.

I really never had taken this instructor, but every since I have arrived at the CBA I have heard nothing but bad things about him. What students say the most is, “don’t take Tanaka.” I wonder why he still works for the CBA???

This guy is pure evil. He has ZERO teaching ability and he berates individuals in front of the entire class. He would be busted for sexual harassment in any workplace for the comments he makes. I'm gonna go ahead and say that he is helpful outside of class, but in class...I don't think so.

Very difficult class. His lectures are too quick and his tests are very comprehensive. However, he is very helpful outside of class through email and phone. He can be a prick, but that's just the way it is. He expects a lot from his students.

THE hardest teacher in the CBA. I feel everyone should experience his class once. It prepares you for the real world in which you may have a boss that is extremely smart, and knows it, expects a lot from subordinates, is hard to communicate with and etc.

All he does is read the powerpoint slides, which is something the students can get off the internet. His tests are very hard and there is not enough time to complete them. He humilates students by cutting them down in front of the class.
