She goes through the text book and shows you how to do each problem, if there is a question on HOW one got there she wasn't very good at explaining. If you come to class each day and pay attention you should be fine but don't expect any extra help after class.

She is GREAT, gives A LOT of hints during her lectures of what to really study! SUPER HELPFUL Dreaded taking the course at first but turned out great! Super sad she was not available for 1107! MyMathLabpearson's a lot of work online, which helped out a lot for tests!

Doesn't explain things well unless you ask. Doesn't always understand your question and can be more confusing. Know the material well and she keeps your attention better than most professors. When you have to personally approach her about things, she 's no help. Has never answered any of my emails. All assignments through course compass which sux!

Great Teacher! I have problems with math but she makes it crystal clear. EZ to understand, no book, just online "course compass". Do homework and go to class. She checks role, gives reviews and Xtra credit. Don't walk out early (unless she knows) cell phones..off. Very sweet and funny, & cares about you learning it. I studied, got an A. Take her!

She is a wonderful teacher. Will go over it until you understand. Holds test reviews and she gave us extra credit points for showing up. Also gives extra credit throughout the course in the form of pop quizzes to make sure you are understanding the material. You don't have a text book but you have to do the online work.

Miss Holmes is a wonderful professor! It's a super easy class if you keep up with the work and attend regularly so you know what is going on and don't miss any of her extra credit quizzes! She's very funny, super sweet and always willing to help students with anything they need. I would highly recommend taking her class!

Comment:

One of the funniest and best teachers you could take. Clear with the instructions and she makes class entertaining with stories and jokes about her writing and drawing. Homework and quizzes are online and aren't due until the last day of class and the textbook isn't required. Extra credit opportunities. Lenient with tardiness. Highly recommend.

This class was such a joke. The easiest math class I have ever taken. I wish I would have taken it online because you obviously have to come to class but it was so easy to me that I became bored! She is such a great teacher and she's SO FUNNY! TAKE HER! I've had over 100% this entire semester!

I am not good in math at all, but she made it very easy to understand. There are 4 tests & she gives you a great study guide for them. You can miss 4 classes. This class was easy you just have to be there. The notes are posted on course compass. All quizzes and homeworks are on there but they arent due till the end of the semester. I recommed her!!

Professor Holmes is an amazing professor! I am taking her for MGF1106 and have not had a problem. If you do not understand anything she will go over it until you do as long as you ask. Do not need a textbook but need mymathlab code and all work is due at the end of semester. I wish she was teaching 1107 next semester! TAKE HER!

Amazing professor. Really helpful and clear. I am HORRIBLE at math and I passed the class with an A. Homework and online quizzes are due by the end of the semester. Use MyMathLab for homework and quizzes. No textbook required. Attendance is taken, but TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Take her and you'll do GREAT! (: Sweet lady.

Took this class just to dtermine if I could take mac1105 or not. A summer class shes a good teacher would've done better had I used a tutor. I missed a test and she used the grade I made on the final to replace it. Nice lady.

TAKE HER!! If you struggle in math, she WILL HELP. She wants you to be in class so you learn, but as long as you have a legitimate excuse you can leave early. Does take attendance. Tests are a replica of study guides and classwork. She is a AMAZING teacher, VERY helpful and fun ! You dont need the book, ITS ONLINE!

Very nice woman; the subject matter of Liberal Arts is easy and she goes about teaching it exactly as it should be. She can be funny at times too; I recall her introduction to us: "I'm Ophelia Holmes; I've been here forever." Good professor.

Ms. Holmes is AWESOME!!! She is very fair and knows her stuff. She is very patient and willing to help you in every way possible. I am not good in math, but after taking Ms. Holmes 6 week summer class, I was amazed at how much I learned in such a short period of time. I came out of the class with a "B". Thanks Ms. Holmes

I had Ms. Holmes' class for a summer six-week MGF1106 class.The course covers a lot of material in a very short time-frame; but through it all Ms. Holmes was very helpful and willing to answer each and every question that came her way. Her instructions were very helpful, and she has a pleasant demeanor. Overall, a very good teacher.
