Bottom Line: Get on her good side and it will be an easy course. Do the assignments, try just a little bit. She's getting old so be patient. You do have to stay for the whole time, but remember, you have the internet to surf around on. I've had her for the last year straight and she's a great professor to help with your GPA.

Comment:

The worst teacher I've ever had. Had problems with my camera, she claims she fixed it and did absoultely nothing. Doesn't follow her own syllabus and expects you to stay the entire period which is useless. Didn't teach anything so we had to teach ourselves and expects you to be a great photographer even though it's a beginners class.

Poor teacher. If you take a couple pictures you can get on her good side. Class is entirely too long and makes you stay for the whole time(photo editing). Has a syllabus with a different assignment due every week but then tells you that you can turn in whatever when ever. If you manage to have her aid Karen in class talk with her instead.

It's hard to believe anyone can learn anything from this woman. Extremely disorganized, not there to help the students. More concerned with her status than teaching. Doesnt give good feedback. terrible communicator. not helpful at all. avoid her at all costs.

Very very unorganized. "Book" and notes not comprehensive. Bizarre teaching method; bad communicator (ironic since journalism is in the communications dept) Tests ridiculous. It is rare that she ever makes sense with questions for homework or exams. gives study guides 2 days before exams. did i mention disorganized? one of the worst instruct

I would highly advise against taking any course with Dr. Najjar. She is very unorganized, rarely sticks to the syllabus, and in some ways expects you to teach yourself. She doesn’t really instruct, but more or less monitors. Granted, some of these things are hands on...but is extremely unhelpful if you don't completely understand a concept.

I loved her. Some people don't like her because they don't have patience with her. She's really a nice lady and will do ANYTHING to help you. And this class isn't a blow off, it takes a lot of work. So don't think that you can show up whenever and get an easy A. You'll have to put forth effort for it.

She's a great proffesor. She's not easy and doesn't like it when students try to BS her. She's really nice, even to the completely dumb students, the ones that make you wonder how that got into college. This is a 400 level class, and she doesn't want to babysit students. Just attend class and do you're work, and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Dr. Najjar is ahared but fair teacher, with several problems. One, she has a slight hearing problem that can affect how she responds to questions and two, she has a bit of an accent. Just be patient and ask again if you don't get answered satisfactorily the first time. I highly recommend her.

She is foreign and has an accent. Sometimes you will ask her a question and she won't hear you or maybe she just ignores them? She is a little nuts but the class wasn't hard at all...just show up and turn things in on time and you should be fine.

if you pay attention and do the assignments, her classes are great. I learned a great deal from her. And, she is totally available for help if you need it. She has a wealth of journalistic knowledge and is very enthusiastic and encouraging.

najjar is crazy. shes foreign, and very set in her ways. shes forgetful and never understanding. she mostly shows videos because she doesnt like to teach. the lab tech. should teach this class - she's way more knowledgeable
