He gets off topic a lot ! The class was not hard but you will have to pay attention to his boring lectures in order to pass.

Clear about everything expected in his class. Offers 2 seminars for extra credit to gain 5 bonus pts for attending each one (only person in my class who went to both). If you listen to his lectures, take notes, & read the chapters then you should easily get 18 out of 20 on each quiz. They only cover 2 chapters per quiz? Got a 99.7 no sweat.

He rambles on and on and is extremely hard to follow. He refuses to give full credit for any assignment unless it is a test with no short answer questions. He will give 99/100 every single time just so no one makes a perfect score in his class. He intentionally words test questions in a way that you almost cannot answer correctly. Horrible teacher.

Im a history kid and have taken AP throughout HS and he made this class hard for no reason. His powerpoints leave out important stuff in the textbook thats ON his tests. Just read the textbook, forget his notes/ppts . And go to his 3 hour seminars, bc they may be ur only saving grace.

Lectures are very boring and hard to follow. He tends to be scatter brained and jumps from topic to topic during lecture. He does not give very many assignments. 2 video review papers which he grades very HARD, about 6-7 quizzes that are very specific and worded tricky. You only have a midterm and a final that include essay/short answer questions.

This is a very European centric class that ignores or seeks to downplay the colonist and racist aspects of Western European history. The instructor places heavy importance on religion and will lecture exclusively on Christianity.

He spends 40 of the 50 minute lecture block going off on tangents and in the last ten minutes he tries to go over half a chapter and have us remember it all. On the midterm he has half the test be short answer but won't give more then half credit if you do not use certain key words (i.e. "disease, animal, and agriculture" for columbian exchange)

Class is entirely powerpoint lecture. Book is unnecessary. Assessments are a few quizzes, midterm, and final. Quizzes are only multiple choice. Sometimes the questions are really specific and stuff you won't remember. 5 short answer questions on the midterm and final but he gives you 20 possible ones well in advance. 2 easy extra credit events.

If you come to class and pay attention to the lecture, that is literally what all the quizzes are. Midterm sucked because he didn't tell us what to study for. Didn't open my book all semester and averaged 18/20 on the quizzes. If you fail this class it is 100% your own fault.

The power points he goes over in class are vague and little help. The class is basically all lecture. When giving lectures he sometimes goes back and forth between topics. Im not really sure where the questions for the quizzes come from. Reading and taking notes from the textbook on your own is the main thing that will help you pass his class.

didn't like the way I didn't know what my progress of my grades were until midterm and then once again at the and of the semester. All powerpoint and the tests are super confusing. If you want to pass you have to be there everyday and make sure you hear what he has to say in class.

He is an extremely tough grader! Wants specific answers for short answers, but never told us how specific or to what extent. There are some chances for extra credit. Saved me from a B. His lectures are straight from the powerpoint and the lights are off, so easy to fall asleep, but don't. I don't know exactly where the quiz questions come from.

Where his quiz and test questions come from, who knows!! Not enough graded material, he reads straight from the powerpoint and book, but his quizzes seem to come from elsewhere. Would never take him again.

He is an extremely tough grader when it comes to the short response portion of the test. If you do not write out what he is thinking exactly he will take off. He also gives out quizzes rather than test throughout the course. Finally he does not keep you updated with your grade in the class. Overall I would not take this class again.

Don't take him if you need an easy A. His quizzes are really long and focus on the least memorable things of the chapter they're on. The chapters are also long. He is very strict on attendance. Once saw him take roll over again because someone left mid class just to count them absent.

This course has very few grades, which makes it difficult to make a good grade if you don't do well on one thing. The quizzes are confusing and the power points are very vague. He reads directly from his power points and says "um" too much. Tough grader on short answer questions. Does not put any grades online so you never know your actual grade.

Lots of quizzes, quizzes are usually very lengthy like 40 questions. You need to read a lot. The chapters are long as well. Just took thr midterm and no one did well from the sound of it. Not many people have above a B in the class. I won't take him again. Wouldn't recommend
