He is a very nice guy and teacher. He often doesn't have an answer to any question you ask. My biggest problem would be the readings assigned every week followed by a very detailed quiz. The readings contain a lot of information so its hard to remember it all. This course isn't bad but i think there are better US Society Gen ed choices.

He's a nice guy; not an amazing professor but not bad either. Sometimes the lectures get a little boring but not every class is a lecture. I have learned a lot and I found the content very interesting. There was a weekly quiz, but that would be only 10 true or false questions. Overall, an okay professor.

RBT is a gem. Is he difficult? Yes. Is it worth the trouble? You bet. If CJ is your "thing", than choose to make his class a priority the semester you take it. We all know you can have one or maybe even two "shrug off" courses each fall or spring- but his thoughts will resonate with you and last beyond your college years. Humble, brilliant & funny.

I have been sitting here reading comments for RBT and cannot believe it- does Dr Taylor make you work? YES. Will you learn your a-- off? YES! That is what college is about. Just google him- taking a class with someone like that is AMAZE. He's caring and hilarious and deserves great ratings. Take for sure! :) He's smart as hell.

He's a really nice guy, and he has a great sense of humor but his way of teaching is really confusing and he makes it hard to really understand what he wants from you. There was way too much reading (more than my English class) and the quizzes he gave every week asked extremely specific questions which is unfair when you're reading 30+ pages.

He's a nice guy, but not necessarily the best teacher. He always dances around questions, saying "That's a great question. The answer is I don't know." But he's a relatively easy grader in my opinion, and as long as you're a decent enough writer, you'll get a solid B.

I don't know what kind of drugs people are on but this guy is seriously awful..... especially if you are just taking him for a gen ed. Not even done the semester and he is just awful.. absolutely awful.

He is a really down to earth guy. Plenty of opportunities to for extra credit. Lets you redo papers. However, he is really hardcore about not having any cell phones out in class. and his random quizzes on the reading are hard and you have to really study the readings

He is a great teacher. Had him for Urban Crime Patterns. Do the readings, dont miss a class. He gives a quiz a week & gives participation pts so you have to go to class. He has a PhD so he expects your best. This is not an easy A class. But you will learn if you do the work!! Also, he doesnt use a textbook he uses lots or articles and boox expercts

Avoid. Is a really nice guy, but expects way too much for a 3 credit class. Unless you have to take a course with him, don't.

RBT is an amazingly intelligent prof. BUT undergrads beware, the class can be confusing, poorly directed, and extremely frustrating.

Ralph Taylor's Doing Justice class was very easy and interesting. If you do the readings and show up to class, you are guaranteed atleast a 'B'. His class can sometime be very boring, but he is willing to help you understand the material and do well in his class. TAKE DOING JUSTICE if you like good grades and a good teacher.

his cj160 course was pretty easy as long as you do the readings and show up to class, the stats material may confuse some but im a double major and having taken 2 stats classes already it was fairly easy, very likeable guy and down to earth, i will be doing research with him next year, i definitely recommend taking his course
