I took this class over summer and it was pretty simple. There wasn't any homework or discussion boards but it was a lot of writing. He expects things to be done his way or you'll get a lot of points taken off, so as long as you follow the outline and turn everything in on time, you should be good. The midterm and final were both essays.

He gives vague assignments with no structure and fails you for not being clear. His comments and criticism do not make any sense and when questioned about it he is confusing, mean and lacks constructive criticism. He will mock you for not follow the format when he doesn't even give you one. Don't take his class.

I took this class online and I thought this class was good. No homework, no mandatory discussion, basically you just turn in paper on time is fine. 10 points extra credit. Two exams and they are all paper. So if you are good at writing this class is great. One final paper, 2 essays, and 2 exams.

You can use the required text books, or go onto blackboard & print out professor Byrons condensed lectures to follow from in class. He does a great test review, & every test consists of 15 mc questions and one essay. Professor's pet peeve is phone use during class, and walking out before class is over. You also have three term papers to turn in.

Professor Byron is a pretty decent teacher. I found to truly gain a full depth knowledge of the subject I needed to read and take notes from the textbook before every class. There are a couple of short to moderate papers (3-7 pg) but as long as you support your arguments you should be fine. No HW except for the papers. Lectures are DRY

All of the exams and papers were take home. Fairly lenient grader. Just convince him you understood and learned the material, and you should get a good grade. Lectures can be boring sometimes, so if you find yourself falling asleep, you're definitely going to need to do some extra reading from the textbook.

Take him during the summer! I needed it for my GED and this was the quickest way to get rid of it. He's sooo easy, chill. and really nice! He's experienced in politics and lectures are interesting. ALWAYS let class out early! 2 short papers, 2 tests & 1 final. He literally gives you the answer to them before test day. Notes are also provided!

Professor Byron is a good professor. He doesn't really put his opinion into it, witch most poli sci teachers do. I would definitely take again. Be ready for essays.

This course, although controversial, he speaks facts and does his best to not influence others with his own political opinion. He assigns about three essays, they're very easy and the tests are easy as well. You just have to be present when he is doing his test review. Straight forward with his lecture, and class ended early most of the time.

Theres only three tests and they are all take home. Two essays and a term paper. If you remotely pay attention in class it'll help with the papers and tests. Easy enough to keep up and know what he wants. Easy A DONT GET THE TEXTBOOK YOU DONT NEED IT AT ALL Boring lectures, and does not like cellphones at all. Will yell if he sees one.

I took him over the summer -3 hour class. I must say I loved it lectures were always short we left early all the time within the first hour! His tests were multiple choice and an essay it was extremely easy! I missed class a couple times and still got an A. He's there if you have any questions. I personally didn't even use the textbook

Byron is a super chill guy, just be on time and pay attention and it will be cake. He offers a lot of extra credit and his assignments are straightforward. A few papers all are specific and he allows you to send it in early for a look over before you turn it in for a final grade.

1st class at Mesa, so far very impressed. Wonderful professor. Lectures are very straight forward and insightful. Class often gets out 20 minutes early, if he finishes his lecture. Essays aren't that difficult and neither are the exams. Definitely recommend taking.

Excellent professor. Very clear, and very direct. Often times lets you leave early, permitting that he is able to cover all the appropriate course material. Very knowledgeable, and lets you know if there is something he does NOT know. Don't use your phone in class - and attend his lectures. Fairly easy going grader. Overall, highly recommended.
