Comment:
He thinks he makes funny jokes in class that is funny, but it is not actually funny. Tests are okay - I think it's fair, just like the homework. Term project is the worst thing but makes you learn a lot.

This class isn't as terrible as everyone says it is. Yeah, Dr. Logen doesn't appeal to the masses, but he definitely knows the material and is helpful when asked specific questions related to the material. He is not helpful if you only ask him about why you got a certain grade. He doesn't have clear grading criteria, which sucks.

The most irritating part of his class is the lack of material. He scans pages of a textbook that went out of print 20 years ago, and only gives 1 practice/homework problem per topic. The school will assign him to required courses with 1 section per year, so prepare yourself. Study the lecture notes with other people and watch out for the term proj.

The awesome thing about Dr. Logen is that he really knows the material. Despite what some of the reviews say, I found him fairly accessible for questions. His lectures are sometimes difficult to understand, but they are far from the worst I have seen at OSU. The major downside was the difficulty of the class, and how little partial credit was given

Dr. Logen grading is terrible! It is either right or wrong, expect little if no partial credit. He seems very knowledgeable but due to his age it might be hard to follow him sometimes. He is an OK professor but would never take a class with him again if I can. Oh, and this class has 5 homework assignments which are insane!!

I never write reviews, let alone bad ones, however, this class was terrible! I really liked Logen for 367, but this class was another beast. It is a hard class already, but the language barrier and his teaching style made it even more difficult. HARD grader and unreasonable group term project expectations. Term project can ruin your grade.

Average grade was a D, yet didn't curve because that would mean admitting his terrible teaching and impossible grading standards were the problem. Egomaniacal bully toward students, asserts intellectual superiority over people who are just learning, picked on a Saudi girl for no reason every exam. Luckily he's been reassigned, good riddance.

Words can't describe how aweful he is. he 1. doesn't respect students at all. 2. is an advanced b@#%$ when it gets to being late or skipping the class 3. has horrible grading rubric I took 2 classes as MS student with him. Having a class with him made me hate Industrial Engineering and I switched my Major.

I've had Dr. Logen for 367 & 356, and he is one of the worst... He is extremely impatient and assigns material in the homework that he hasn't even covered yet in class. Expect to teach yourself a lot.

I've had this guy for IE356 as well. He cares that you learn the material--so much that he preaches every class how professional engineers should be and makes sure to make at least 5 passes on each exam he grades (10 if he suspects it's perfect). He makes material SO clear that he doesn't (WON'T) have to answer questions in class. Learn alone.

Dr. Logendran is very good teacher. He is always very well prepared. His very clear and organized. He is a tough grader, but I know of many people who have aced his exams. He a full professor and is an asset to the OSU engineering school. Remember....closed book, open mind;)

Most unhelpful teacher ever. Whenever I asked a question, he just said he didn't have time to help me and that I should know the answer anyway. Very poor test grading, I was marked down for correct answers and he would not tell me why.

Some says, he is allergic to giving out A's. Some says, he jumps 6 feet high and was raised by lemurs. All we know is that he is The Logen. Seriously, he is a very weird person and there is no such thing as mercy from this guy.

He is one hard professor. If the exam isn't hard, expect him to grade as if he's mad at the world. If the exam is hard, well, he's just being himself. His lectures are usually boring and confusing. Homeworks can be really long - and hard. Even if you know how to do these homeworks, don't be too relaxed, his final is a massive field of curve balls.

Hopeless! Need I say more? Confused the class, confused himself and usually angry at - I don't know. Assignments took about 30hrs to complete and above all, demanded that the students (graduates by the way) dare not discuss the homework problems. Exams are nothing like assignments, practice exams and a good majority of the students fail the class.

Logen is one of the best profs I've had. During his two hour lectures, he actually managed to keep me interested in the material. He's very knowledgeable and he knows what he's talking about. All of his tests are based on his lecture notes. So, if you actually attend class and read through the notes, you shouldn't have a problem.

Logen is a great instructor. He expects you to perform well on his exams; is that not why we are here? Look through the red marks, learn the material he expects you to know, and you will pass.

Comment:
Unbelieavably incoherent. You can't ask for clarification on tests. The answer is always "I phrased the question exactly enough so you should know what I want." Also feedback from test is "Wrong!" or "We covered in class!" Plus tests handed back are full or red marks and it if very difficult to see where something is right and where it is wrong.
