Dr. Miller is probably the best professor I have ever had, and I have attended two different schools. He will help you in any way you need, in or out of class. He is so understanding during the pandemic or otherwise and will make accommodations if you just let him know. His tests are extremely straightforward, I made over a 100 on all of them.

Dr. Miller is one of the worst teachers Ive had. He is very nice but a horrible teacher. Dont try to email or reach out to him. Its no use. He says he will do something, but it will rarely come to fruition. He will give you a study guide for exams but to find the answers are next to impossible

Dr. Miller is highly knowledgeable in his field and supports his students. His class is well organized according to his syllabus and book; nevertheless, you will have a general idea about his expectations on quizzes and tests. I highly recommend him for all Science majors.

Dr. Miller helped make a complex lab like biochemistry fun and manageable. He provided feedback on lab reports as well as help explain the lab procedures and background information. The lab itself could be disorganized, but he would try to salvage that and make it work for us.

Comment:
Dr. Miller is one of the most caring professors at ETSU, and will go out of his way to help you. With that being said, BIOL 4157 Lab wasn't always the most organized, and explanation about the experiment isn't always clear. However, Dr. Miller made this section manageable and interesting. The lab could have been much harder than it was.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't go to class, you won't know how he wants the test answers worded. Quite lecture heavy, but he makes it to where it isn't a total bore. He has a pretty bad speech impediment, but after the first couple classes, you barely notice it. Would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Miller's class is an easy A if you are attentive and attend the lecture or at least on the day before the lecture exam reviews. His class can be boring and I did fall asleep many time but that depends on the student I guess. He is helpful and gives good information about the subject. Better than Cerrone Foster. His teaching is precise.

Cell Bio. Dr. Miller is great. He will not judge you based on your chosen career path and is very helpful, there is no reason for anyone to fail. I would not say Cell Bio is an easy A simply because its an acquired taste, but he will go above and beyond to help students. I have so much respect for Dr. Miller.

All in all Dr. Miller is a very nice person. However his class was not well planned or organized. He never tells you due dates of anything you have to keep up with that yourself he was not very helpful when it came to asking questions. The study guide was always completely different then the actual test. If you read the chapters you should be fine

Dr. Miller is a great professor. I could tell he truly cared about the students learning, and answered questions to make the material clear. He hands out study guides before each exam and the study guides are pretty similar, just worded differently. If going into education, take this course!

Dr. Miller is a an amazing professor. His teaching methods are great! The only problem I had was the fact that there were alot of question's asked during lectures and I wasn't able to focus on his speaking due to that. However, it was not his fault. He is very knowledgable and I hold him to the higest regard. Dr. Miller is so great!

This class is one of the easiest I've taken. Tests are made directly from the notes taken in class. The study guides are almost exactly like the test just worded differently. The content is simple. He starts class early so show up 15 minutes before. He is hard to understand at first but you will get used to it. Overall, wonderful professor. :)

Super nice guy. He starts class a little early and holds it to the very end.The study guides are not exactly like the test, but give you an idea. The tests are not long and are over the concepts. He gives simple discussion topics which really helped my grade.Over all its not bad. As long as you go and put forth effort, you'll pass.

Gave a study guide, only 1 of the 4 tests really followed it. Lab assignments were a little shady as far as grading went. Overall, he is a very nice person...just needs to make sure when he tells the class to study something, make sure it reflects the assignment/test.
