I understand why people would rate Jaeger high because he IS a nice guy. However, he is a terrible teacher. He will not give out requirements for essays until the day before they are due and is very unclear about what he wants from you. Overall he is not accepting of criticism if you talk to him about your problems. Take if clarity isn't important.

he is a nice guy! But I didn't like the structure of the class..I'm more of a person who likes lecture, and in this class we don't get much lecturing. Instead we talk about random issues, everyday of the quarter. Other than that, couple of essays and reading responses. This course isn't that easy, I think..

He was great! Do the reading responses (SUPER easy!!). Stay up on your reading for the tests, but the reading is interesting. Other than that... class is a breeze. You do ONE presentation and that's all you have to do in class. You can fall asleep and not miss a THING

I don't how can someone rate him to be good, b/c i seriously didn't like him! Always beats around the bush, and makes stupid jokes! Take sartwell, far far better! He is very very unclear according to me and never ever talks about something in specific or his expectation! Not recommended at all!

Great teacher. Very fair grading system. Quizes (all announced on the schedule) are simple if you keep up with the readings. He keeps his lectures interesting by adding humor to them. Overall I'd highly recommend him for all your English needs.

I wouldn't recommend him! Too vague, and excessive work pressure! Doesn't focus on something specific and never ending lectures! If u have other options, take that since it is extremely hard to keep up with the reading and get an A! Take Sartwell, way better!

He is a good person, but i think his lectures beat around the bush most of the time! He kind of expects a lot from u, and if u want a class like me where things will be taught in detail, then recommended to not take him. Moreover, i think his assignments are pretty hard, and too many essays!

He is a very nice and very helpful teacher. His class is quite interesting. But his essay grading is pretty tough sometimes. Not an easy class but not too hard. You really learn a lot from his class. I recommend!

I took this class two years ago. He is a compassionate, nice man. He encourages his students, and his lectures really help us understand the deeper meaning of literary works through explication. Easy to talk to, and willing to help you get an A.

This teacher is boring, but sometimes interesting. He is so easy, if you BS your essays he still gives you a B or C...only 4 essays every 2 weeks, but you get to pick the topics, everyday in class you dont do nothing, just listen
