Comment:

Devlin has honed his craft over many years and you will leave the course feeling like you have a solid understanding of contract law, regardless of your grade. That said, hes got an aggressive style and hell piss you off at some point. I think men generally respond better to his challenging and sometimes confrontational pedagogy than women.

Look he's actually a really cool guy once you get around his brash demeanor. We always chirp each other but I come from a family where that happens a lot. He's also great to talk with if you want a prof who doesn't buy the bs about judges being on some higher level. Actually he's one of the most respected academics in the country across disciplines

Great professor. A true academic, his special interest lies in judicial decision-making. His way of reading and understanding cases is difficult and tedious at first, but in hindsight, it is invaluable and will change the way you read and understand cases - for the better. Looking back, his class(es) will be one of the few that you will remember.

His method is intimidating at the beginning, but you'll learn so much from him. He'll eventually ease off on you if you're not a participator, but try to stay engaged and involved in class because he likes that and you'll get the most out of it that way. Hilarious guy too. Take his class!

prof. devlin is definitely one of the best professors i had in my lifetime. he stimulates one to think critically and to aspire for things greater than one's self. his sometimes caustic and sarcastic remarks bite but the guy speaks his mind all the time, and i do admire him for that.

Really brings what could potentially be a dry course to life. At first he can be a little intimidating, and it hard to see where the course is going, but he explains difficult concepts VERY well, and in the end you learn a lot. Excellent professor.

An excellent, sarcastic sense of humour. He's intimidating at first, but becomes a lot of fun once you know how to react to him in class. Has a teaching method that really helps to clarify very ephemeral legal concepts.
