Professor Matsuda is very knowledgable on the topic. There is a lot of material to cover and no homework, so you need to study on your own, but he is usually clear about what you need to focus on. The way he lectures and formats his notes makes it easier to digest information. Quizzes every week. As long as you put in the work you can get an A.

I took this class again to get a higher score and that was a HUGE mistake. He goes way to fast for anyone to write down diagrams or even just words in general. Make friends quick in this class because if you miss one day you are screwed. There is a quiz every week each 20-25 questions. ESPECIALY STUDY THE BONES AND MUSCLES and know ALL TERMS!!!!

Get your classmate's contact info in case you miss class. There are no assignments other than weekly quizzes. If you love yourself then study the bones and muscles before the course starts (he'll send an email with the list). Study, study, study! All quizzes are 20-25 questions and require critical thinking and memorization.

This class is going to be difficult if you don't go to class and study. He has a quiz every week on a system of the body which is 20 points. Go to class, take notes, and read the book and you will pass. He barely has questions on the quiz from the book but just read it just in case. Study ahead of time.

About a quiz a week, each 20 pts. His lectures are to the point and very long. Quizzes are very detailed. This class is all memorization. Would not recommend him to a friend. If you want an A be prepared to do nothing else then study all semester, good luck!

Exams are based on lecture notes ONLY unless otherwise told. His exams are straight forward and multiple choice. You need to study especially for bones and muscle exam. It's pretty tough. class average was a C. There are 8 exams including comprehensive final. You will have to work for your grade. Oh and he likes to tell jokes.

He's a cool teacher, but lectures are long and not very interesting. I like some of his jokes, but the fact that I was falling asleep in a lot of his classes led to me not taking much interest in the class, which in turn led to me dropping the course. He has about 13 tough quizzes and one final (cumulative). Memorization skills are very important

Awesome professor. Straight to the point. You study the material he gives you, and read the chapter, you should get an A. But you NEED to study. NO homework. Just quizzes. and ONE final exam. Know your material. Make sure you show up, or you will miss a lot.

Over due rating, but better late than never. Tests are straight forward. If you go to class, review material, then you should pass. He takes a couple questions from the book on each quiz. He gives you a bones & muscle list in the beginning of the semester. Start studying early, the class is basically memorizing everything. Final is comprehensive.

Took his ZOOL 141 class in the summer and it wasn't so bad. You do have to study and not procrastinate if you want an A since he doesn't offer extra credit. You come in for lecture, take notes and take exams every week, 1 final comprehensive exam. Exam material is mostly from his lecture. He "tries" to entertain students by telling jokes.

Weekly quizzes are 20 ?'s each. 17-18?s was from lecture. The remaining 2-3?s are from the book. He may give 1 or 2 extra credit ?s every quiz to help boost grades. Gives the answers to practice quizzes; they're worded very similar to the actual quizzes. Study muscles&bones early! There's a lot to memorize. A&P is tough, but he teaches it well.

Straight forward & organized. Clearly covers a lot of material, but tells you what you need to know. Doesn't waste your time. Always get out 20 min early. No ppt's. Write down everything. He gives you lots of time to copy notes. Always asks if we have questions before erasing board & moving on. Matsuda cracks jokes every class. Funny guy. Take him!

This was a tough class to take in the summer! Originally had 20 ended the class with 8. This is just a lot of material, if you study 3 hours per day in the lab you should be able to get an A. Ave score on first of two exams 63 out of 100, so study. Kind of vague what you have to study though.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take this class in the summer. Prof. Matsuda does not make it easy for you, this class was real hard and of course during the summer it's way worse. You get no extra credit or chances to boost up your grade. Impossible to get an A. You can study all day and night and have no life and you still will not get an A.

Incredibly hard during summer!!He is really nice but this class shouldn't be offered during summer. Models in lab are USELESS!! KCC is too cheap to provide basic tools needed to learn the material! Models are broken, not marked, missing parts. Should NOT be used for the exams!

Matsuda does very detailed lectures. I took down everything he wrote on the board, recorded his lectures, would go back and listen again and make my flashcards. I opened the book maybe 3 times all semester and I got an A. You follow his lecture and you will get an A. Must go to class for this teacher!

Matsuda's course is very straight forward. He lectures on the topic that will be on the quiz. I just study my lecture notes and confirm information with the text book. Also, during the lectures he'll take a moment and crack a joke which is always funny.

I like old-school style of teaching. He writes the notes, copy it. 95-98% of the questions are exactly from the notes you copied on the board. The 2-5% will come from the book that he told you to read. Read the chapter prior to going to class. It helps to understand the concept.
