He's amazing. I have never had such a great professor in my whole three years of my undergrad. He makes the class enjoyable and I never want to miss a lecture. He does give pop quizzes but if you go to class you won't have an issue. He loves rock and roll and is not afraid to share his love for music and art. He is brilliant, take his class !!

Morrison may be great in person, but in print he comes off as a pompous prig! He is a terrible instructor when it comes to online classes and was dismissive, disinterested and uninteresting. The marking of assignments was inconsistent and the exam was brutal.

No help, no suggestions, still don't know what I was doing wrong. Sounds as though he is a great teacher for on-campus students but don't depend on him to answer questions thoroughly if you are taking a correspondence course from him or give you any guidance other than, just read the material on-time. Disappointed in my experience with him.

Passionate, hilarious, kind, caring, entertaining. I can't say enough good things about this man. The best professor you will ever have, not just in his field but in widening your knowledge of important world knowledge. Within a week you'll think of him as your friend and you'll want to chill with him and poetry none-stop. WONDERFUL.

This is a prof that makes you want to take classes based on the fact he's teaching them. He's entertaining, helpful and makes you WANT to learn. He's a tough marker, but completely fair. Really wish he taught more upper year courses.

Literally the best professor I've had in university and I am in my fourth year. I'm a politics major but after having him as a prof I almost wanted to change my program. He is funny, engaging and genuinely cares about his students.

Morrison often spoke of his first-year English prof and how that prof was a large part of why he majored in English. This year, he did that for me. Smart, passionate, and funny. He showed me how great English lit can be. Such a nice guy, too!

Morrison is a good professor. As a science student taking English as an elective, I was sometimes surprised by his "Arts over Science" motto - it was unnecessary in the context of the class. I loved the class itself - he chose great material. I wish he had spoken more rather than the student-based learning.

ENGL100 happened to be my first lecture of university in September, and I'm glad Morrison was my first professor. He's an enthusiastic, humourous, and empathetic teacher. He's very fond of Socratic teaching - so much so I think I spend too much time listening to other students when I want to hear him speak. But a fantastic professor nonetheless.

Although I love romanticism I found him too erratic, hyper and 'in your face.' He introduced no new material to me and felt I could better educate myself. He relied too much on class participation and left me wanting and waiting for 'pearls of wisdom' I felt a prof should supply to his students. He should take a note from Prof Lobb.

possibly the greatest professor I've ever had. He changed my life. At the start of the class, I was suffering from depression. Morrison's class really helped me pull myself together by both introducing me to and confronting me with a new love. I am now a grad student focusing on Romanticism & hope to one day inspire others as Morrison did me.
