His teaching style can be hard for some, he relies heavily on group work and loves when his students explain things to one another. But he really cares for his students. He will work with you in and outside of class. He values your questions heavily. If you really need to learn the material he will help you do so.

Comment:

The only reason that I was able to get an A in this class was because I hired a tutor. He didn't teach us anything. We only worked in groups the entire time. Whenever someone asked a question that might have been "too obvious", he looked like he was astounded someone had asked that which scared me away from him. Don't take Rosentrater.

Comment:

Professor Rosentrader was very confusing and expects students to know things that are not taught in class. Homework assignments are very long and tests are easier than what is learned. I was disappointed when I went in for office hours for help. He would not answer any of my questions but rather expected me to talk out every problem without help.

I had Dr. Rosentrater for Calc. I, Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, & Real Analysis. I believe he is one of the best teacher. He not only cares about the students, but is willing to figure out where misunderstandings are and find new ways to explain things. His classes are hard work, but go into office hours and just talk and ask questions
