Professor Apshaga is great overall. No tests just mini papers. Listen to her feedback on each paper and follow the directions she gives and you'll be fine. She is super nice and interesting as well.

Took Professor A. for Fantasy Lit and let me tell you it was one great ride. When I got in her class the first day, she laid out what to expect with no sugarcoating-I like that. She didn't try to mask that she will make you read, participate, and write papers, and that alone made me stay on. She is very warm and down to Earth. Highly recommended!

Had fun in this class, at first I was worried with all the reading we were assigned but it really wasn't bad. Stories were fun and class discussion was important for grade. Participation was key. Big project at the end but gives you whole semester to work on it. Let's you be creative and open for topics. Overall really enjoyed her class.

Great professor - completed the Intro to Lit class - you will have to work but she makes it interesting. Lots of different topics for reading - we also had to see a play. Like I said she makes it interesting! Take her class!

Worse professor I have ever had! She is not clear at all on what she expects and seems to enjoy the sound of her own voice. She is more interested in getting off topic than actually teaching. Do not take if you are actually interested in learning.

Prof. Apshaga was great. I took her for my Intro to Lit class and although you do have to do the work and participate in class she doesn't make it overwhelming or too difficult. The texts she chose for us to read were interesting and the discussions were engaging.. I'd take another class with her in a heartbeat and definitely recommend her.

I really like Professor Apshaga. She is really funny and a good person. You have to work a little hard in this class, but her grading is pretty fair. I definitely read some interesting stuff and I enjoyed going to her class.

Professor Apshaga was a very fair teacher. There was a lot of reading. There were essay exams, papers, PowerPoints, and class discussions. Most of the material that we read and discussed was very interesting and I know more about writers, authors, and their pieces. If you like to read, this is the class for you.

Excellent professor. Very smart, good sense of humor, very approachable, and extremely helpful. She makes students write about relevant and current topics rather than trivial and unimportant subjects like most professor do.

She is an OK teacher. She goes through the writing process in steps and each assignment is bigger and bigger. She picks slightly controversial topics to get students interested. Her feedback on papers aren't very clear but overall OK.

She was excellent! She's very interesting and funny! She obviously wants people to try in their work and I could tell she saw alot of laziness and low attendence. However, if you show up and put in effort you should have no problem getting by. She is also very understanding and helpful so go to her if you need anything!

Comment:

There is something angry and uppity about her. She talks about politics too much and pushes her views on the students. I have a sense she is a union official who someone gave a job to. I also think she is teaching too many courses. My buddy's Dad who teaches there told us she is one of the teachers who has too many courses. They do it for the $$$!
