AVOID HIM AS A PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS. Lectures are boring and he likes to make stupids feel dumb. Very rude and unreasonable when it comes to final grades. Over half of the class dropped because of him and he still failed a few that suffered through it. Makes it like a STAT class and acts like you should know everything he talks about.

Appears really nice at first but once you speak with him, he's very rude, condescending, goes off into these That's So Raven visions in the midst of a conversation. The work is not work it, TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR, YOU'LL REGRET IT LATER. I'm one of his "best students" & will be receiving a D. VERY UNCLEAR CRITERIA FOR WORK, OVERALL HORRIBLE TEACHER

He seemed really personable and cool at first but when you ask questions he loves to be condescending & sarcastic. The workload was excessive, 25 page paper, 4 memos, 4 labs, pop quiz, unclear drafts for portions of your 25 page paper (7 pg lit review, 7-8 results, etc) & you have to do a 15 min presentation. Save your GPA & get another professor.

Completely fair in grading. Material is difficult, but Sal is available and always willing to help and go over what you miss on the tests. I would 100% suggest him. He expects participation in class and if you go to class and take advantage of his help, you will succeed.

If u are a democrat tell him, u get brownie points. I got 1 of my grades back on the back of his netflix movie rental printouts. Safe to say he cares...yeah right! You will be belittled, ignored, and he takes vacations when major assignments are due. Take the class in the other section. U will have a much better chance. He plays favorites, bad!

Sal is a nice prof but sometimes can be rude. Not very helpful when asking a question and is an extremely hard grader with little guidance on how to do better. Def. take this class with the other prof, otherwise your whole semester will be dedicated to this one class and your other classes will suffer.

Do not take this class with sal. The only people who pass are the extremely intelligent. He makes everything so difficult and really wants to see if he can hurt your grade. I am now taking the class for the second time with eight former sal orepesa classmates from last semester that also felt the rath of sal orepesa. Stay away

A very cool guy with the ability to make stats and research interesting to anyone, regardless how incredibly boring the class actually is. He's enthusiastic about teaching, and it makes you want to be enthusiastic about learning. You leave the class feeling like you actually learned something for once.
