This guy is enthusiastic but has a very thick accent. You cannot understand him. You must read the book. And if you do attend his lecture, say no. fwaogjaogj YES?!

I cannot stress enough YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK BEFORE COMING TO CLASS! If you don't, you won't understand a word this man says. But if you do, then his lectures really help solidify the concepts. The exam questions come from the odd numbered problems, concept questions, and "check your understanding" questions in the book.

Yes his accent is thick but he's very passionate about the subject and it's not as if he lectures at a million mph. The grading scale is by far the easiest I've seen for Physics and exam questions are straight out of the book. Put in your 6hrs/wk outside of class and consider your grade a gimme.

Easy A with a decent grading scale. Exam questions are straight from the book and homework. It's not difficult for an A if you attend class and do all the problems. Great professor who really cares about how to approach a problem conceptually to gain a full understanding of the topic to do well. BEST PHYSICS TEACHER EVER!

Terrible teacher. Thick accent, extremely hard to understand, and does not know how to explain things well. I don't doubt he knows physics, but I don't pay for education to watch him rearrange equations for hours and hours. Not all of the problems are straight from the homework, he throws in randoms from time to time expecting you to know them.

heavy accent, but he does get the point across. Do the problems in the back of each chapter because the tests are exactly that with different numbers. He doesnt do very many examples in class so go to a tutor. Expect to spend a lot of time solving those problems...

Ok whatever you do - don't take it in the summer!! I don't doubt that he knows his material, but unless you are accustom to a HEAVY spanish accent.. - The tests some from the homework, but he 'assings' EVERY problem. Get a tutor (good luck with that too) and teach yourself! He prides himself on NOT GRADING ON A CURVE. Try to take it at JC.

A hard class & a teacher with a HEAVY accent. Keeps the class awake, but being awake doesn't help when you cannot understand what he is saying. I don't have any reccomendations for this one - take a different teacher or be prepared to teach yourself! DO the homework over and over and over and over.....

Cons: hard to understand at first, he teaches a hard subject (Physics). Pros: He definitely keeps you awake, he is a real good guy, and he teaches well. If you dont care about doing well, you will almost certainly fail, and youll hate him, because he doesnt like people that dont try. So try, dammit

Prof Oseroff has to be the best instructor in the physics department. He doesn't spoon feed students, hence the bad comments. Pay attention and you WILL learn

Basically physics sucks, but he does a better job at explaining concepts then other professors. It takes a while to get used to the accent and you should probably get spanish credit, but he does his best. I did pass in the end. THANK GOD!

I took it over summer; he has cool tricks, but that's about it. He assumes you understand what he writes on the board. Read the book, do the homework, and you'll survive. I don't even know why SDSU bothers to have professors who can't teach well.
