You MUST attend class or you will fall behind. Also, READ your text book! The Professor is really nice. She explains everything but you still need to put in your own work outside of class! Study, study, study! It is not the easiest class but that doesn't mean the professor was at fault. I got a B but I worked my butt off!! I RECOMMEND HER BY FAR!

I absolutely hated her teaching methods and her grading. This was the only class i have ever failed. She takes off points in an exam if you put your equations on the wrong page...even if the answers are correct. I would not take her, definitely not an easy professor at all.

she was not helpful personaly when I went to her office, her class is different ten otehrs so I would say she tried to make the information less stress ful by spliting up the test for mult choice and problem solving.

Good professor overall. Nice, sarcastic, unclear at times. HOWEVER, if you have taken statistics with Dr. Achorn- beware that you will have to change a few of your methods for Lopez's class. Best to take this class with Achorn if you've had her before. Also note that ALL TEXTBOOK INFO IS FAIR GAME ON EXAMS, even if most of it isnt covered in class.

I was nervous about this class from all the previous comments on Exp. Psych., that being said, this professor was always nice and sometimes funny. The course work is intense, but she made it easier to understand. She expects you to know more than an entry level freshman, but if you have come this far you should anyway. Highly recommended!

This course is super hard no matter who you take. She's very nice ATTENDANCE is KEY! Lots of reading, & TIME YOURSELF BEFORE THE EXAMS ON THE MATH! Homeworks are graded too strictly and her TA SUCKS! But she is very nice and helpful. Don't blow off this class and you should do ok.

Awesome professor!! Everyone says shes hard but not at all, just study the notes, and read the book and you will fine. I have got B's on all the tests and ended up getting an A in the class. She is helpful and extrememly funny. I recommend taking her!

Dr. Garcia-Lopez is awesome! Study the online guide and read the text and you will get A's on the exams; follow the homework instructions and you will get A's on the homework. Your hard work will pay off in the end. She is very approachable, willing to answer any questions, and wants you to succeed; she also has a great sense of humor.

Be careful when choosing a proferssor for this field. She is not very good communicator inside of class or outside. If you meet with outside class-careful she has emotional issues!!- You've been warned!! Think twice!

Very helpful and nice. You will have to read and take good notes. Sometimes lectures are a little confusing to follow, but this is a 5 wk course so I am sure that things had to be condensed. Overall great professor and friendly.

Very disappointed w/ Garcia-Lopez. Lectures informative, but cryptic. Test questions deliberately confusing. Tests VERY long & not enough time allotted. At least 15 min. of valuable time wasted on checking scantrons & formula sheets. Only half the class finished exams, but that wasn't HER problem. Rude to me personally, but hear she's nicer 1-on-1.

1st day of class was intimidating. She made it very clear that she doesn't mess around. You have to study everyother day by reading chap, lec notes and online study guides. Practice probs & TIME YOURSELF so u can finish the exams. Not many people do. Don't take this class w/ her if you don't want to work hard. This was my favorite class so far.

I leanred more in her class than any other in four years of college. she gives clear and specific notes. She knows her stuff and knows how to teach it. She is one of the hardest teachers I've had. she expects a lot from her students. The most professional teacher I've had, and probabluy the best

She's a very grave, serious, and austere professor, from my experience; she's not a push-over, and her authority is not to be overshadowed. I've heard her let loose and joke, too, so her harsh exterior is probably somewhat of a front. Be prepared to read your textbook!
