he is the most layed back Professor in College. Lets you out early and his work is not too crazy. Very chilled as a Professor. As an advisor he is good when he is in a good mood. You have to kiss his butt for an A. Take hm!!

Comment:

Class was fascinating, and I learned a lot. The only students who seemed to negative about it were the ones who kept trying to monopolize the class and loved to hear themselves talk. Has a LOT of real experience, not like professors who never worked in public schools. Probably the best educ course in the whole series I took.

Not a nice person--whether in class or as the advisor. Worst and least helpful advisor I have ever met in my life!!! He is of no use and they really should fire him!

SO arrogant. Thinks he is the smartest person on the planet. NEVER taught in the New York City public school system, but thinks he knows everything about it. SO rude to people in his class. Only take him if you absolutely HAVE TO.

I learned a lot about the history of education and ton from this class about techniques in teaching. Sadly, I wasn't surprised by other people's comment, as I felt that teachers in the class were hostile to Prof Phillips b/c he wouldn't permit the class to devolve into a b*tchfest. He offered solutions without being condescending or pessimistic.

He is the RUDE and CRUEL. Since it's obvious that he hates his job, he needs to quit. He doesn't allow students to express their own opinions and acts like you're wasting his time. He does not act like a professional and should not be teaching educators. How can his students enjoy teaching when he doesn't make you happy to be in his classroom?

He is so full of himself and rude. He insulted a girl in my class in front of everyone. He will make you feel horrible if you try to offer your own opinion and he disagrees. Very unfair grader. I attended EVERY class, participated, got no lower than a B+ on anything and still got a B.
