Inspirational. He inspired me to try film as a career.. The "A" students that gave him bad reviews should understand his classes are not there to prop-up your GPA.. And yes, there is usually more than one correct answer. He is trying to get you to look beyond the obvious! You can challenge him. I still think "2001 A Space Oddessy" is overated

It's been 10 years since I took both film classes & his speech class. He was very memorable, knowledgeable, & entertaining. He had a great story about needing to show up every day because you never know when something just might change your life. His lectures contained a lot of knowledge I still remember. I highly recommend him.

Funny teacher! He's really goofy and has a good sense of humor. I liked his class because it didn't really feel like I was in class, more like a conversation. He is strict on attendance and cell phones! I would take him again!

Sid is a good teacher! He's a nice and funny guy! you don't really need to buy the textbook for his class. If you like to miss class a lot this isn't the class for you. He wants everyone to be there and be on time.

Syd Harriet is a good teacher. He's goofy and kind of corny but genuinely wants his students to learn the communications skills he teaches so they can have a better life. He is easy if you listen and pay attention and don't miss classes without prior notice. Study and attendance are musts to get an A.

Just an ok professor. He shows good films, tells okay jokes, but can't write a test. I am an A student, and I have never been more frustrated and confused than in this class. I would avoid taking another class of his ever again.

Syd is the coolest teacher there is, makes hilarious jokes, makes film as easy as it is. He is available after hours if you dont understand a certain film some of his tests are a little confusing but also really easy, recommend him for sure. class is awesome mainly watch movies.

Very passionate teacher. He's very strict on attendance so if you plan on missing a lot of classes don't take him. Easy class with 4 test only & NO PRESENTATION IN FRONT OF CLASS AT ALL. He also offers variety of extra credits too.

Thought is was going to be easy, wrong. Tests are very confusing, and I'm an over-achiever. I had to do extra credit to make sure I got an A. However, I enjoyed his movie selection, and you do learn a lot in his class. I would take him just for the experience of having Syd as a teacher, he's a trip.

He's great! I still use what I've learned in his class. He's very realistic, down to earth, and logical. His HW are very easy. He is very strict on attendence and coming to class on time, but he's teaching you to be puntual. He has very dry sarcastic humor sometimes, but he makes class interesting!

Syd is such a great teacher. He is not as boring as the others say, even though he does space out sometimes. His class is really easy and attendence is mandatory(even though he takes attendance 3 times throughout the whole time). If you have any beef with anyone, Syd will call his mob buddies and have them break their legs for you or e.t.c

Sid is a great teacher I took a short term Speech class with him recently and he is very strict on attendence which is good for me because it got me there each class period. Being in his class made me feel like I was going to counseling lol seriously. This class is easy as long as u study and read material he tells u whats going to be on test.

Syd is a really cool guy, he has a doctorate in film, and you can tell he really enjoys teaching film. He will also make you think about films in a completely new way. This semester he didn't use a textbook. As long as you pay attention to lectures and take notes on film, you will pass easily. Attendance is mandatory to get extra credit.

I love Syd. He's like a goofy Rober Deniro. His lectures can be a bit dull and he is strict on attendance, but he gives tons of extra credit. Very easy class and I totally recommend the teacher.
