Corny Grandpa Liu cannot teach no matter how corny his jokes are! Good thing his tests are easy! Just read the book and you'll do better! The videos he posts on blackboard are even worse than him! If you can, do not take him!

Never take discrete with Dr. Liu. He likes to throw random lessons to us and fails to explain anything he writes on the board. He gives so much homework to make us understand it by ourself. Nice guy but the whole class is about memorization, not method. Take him for anything other than discrete

He knows the subject material but he's unable to teach it effectively. If you memorize the programs you do in class, you'll do very well on the exams but you won't learn anything. For an intro CS class, he should focus more on teaching us to think like a programmer instead of through meaningless memorization. Be prepared to teach yourself.

He teaches from the book but he will tell you one thing and then change what he said three different times and that's after you have done the work. When I complained about him to the department their answer was that he has health problems. Don't take his class he won't fail you but you will not learn anything.I don't know why he is still teaching.

Awesome professor. People make fun of him because He can''t teach however he knows his stuff and can teach much better that other CS Professors. Learned a lot from him way more than Aabdollah and Dr. Liu is willing to help out everyone and is friendly as well. He will not put you down like others do.

Do not take Discrete structures with Dr. Liu. He will fail to explain anything, because it will be straight from the book. He is a very nice person, helps after class, and his office. His other classes are a breeze, but Discrete structures is really not his teaching type.

Dr. Liu is a great teacher. You have to work a bit to get a good great but you really learn. If you don't like computers, get out. Don't do it for the money or anything. If you want to learn and like programming, he's one of the best CS teachers at NJCU.

His class are easy all you have to do is follow the book when you are doing the project and the tests are easy he gives you the answers before the test so you can study from them. I got an "A" and the faster you finish your work the sooner you leave class. if you need to take this for Business Applications on the Microcomputer I, take Liu

this guy is so easy I dont know why everybody thinks he's hard!! Here's a tip "study the diagrams he tells you on review day". All his questions are based on diagrams, just draw the diagrams exactly the same... don't even read the book!
