In Mr. Ramsey's class, I was told the book was mandatory but other than reading the stories I never used it. There was five essays you have write which all are 15% of your grade except the research one which was 25%. He gives a lot of classwork assignments which is also 15% of your grade. If you read and actually try you can get a A.

Dr. Ramsey is a fantastic professor. He gives bonus points, which definitely help. He genuinely tries to help his students out as best as he can. As long as you study, you'll do fine.

Comment:

Absolutely one of the best professors I have ever had. He genuinely cares about what he teaches and his students. His lectures allow you to dive into the underlying context of poetry/short stories. By taking his class I gained an appreciation for literature that I didn't have before. If given the chance I would definitely take his class again.

Dr. Ramsey is the best teacher I have ever had at the college level! Take him for all of your English classes! He is super clear in all assignments, has really interesting lectures, and is super nice. Be sure to read everything that is assigned, because the classes are lecture/discussion based.

I've taken Mr. Ramsey for English Comp 1 and 2 ans well as World Lit 1 and 2! Take anything he teaches, he's a great teacher! You will need to read the material prior to class, but once you're there it's so interesting that you won't mind. Time flies in his class!

Best literature teacher at Bevill! Class was very interesting. He chose fantastic works to read. I walked out of the class feeling very knowledgable on everything we read. I would recommend this teacher to anyone hoping to really read & really learn some valuable information. Also, he isn't that bad to look at ;)
