He had no grades for me at the end of the term, despite the fact he liked one of my papers so much, he took it to church to share. After reminding him of this, he "gave" me a D for his class. I EARNED an A though.

Scalen - good man, awesomes stories, incredible experiences, former Fed, italian, cares, shows enthusiasm, and makes the work assigned enjoyable. I took him 5 years ago and will always remember his as my favorite prof.

A very intresting man and an excellent teacher. Very liberal minded (leaglize dope, etc.)I wish the rate of the class was a bit more steady instead of hurry up and wait. He honestly enjoys his job and in turn takes a subject I find "soft science" and makes it a little 'harder'.
