Best teacher i've ever had in college. Really disappointed he's just put in for retirement. Classes were super applicable to real life, grading methods were all about following instructions, and test questions were given beforehand and were all about memorization. Wish he taught required classes and not just electives.

Great professor, probably my favorite in the JS dept. Fair grading and lectures that don't make you keep looking at the clock on the wall. (If you're an Oakland A's fan wear your gear, like a hat, to class and chances are he'll talk baseball with you before lecture.)

My favorite teacher ever. Really nice guy. Worked in the FBI so he has lots of experience. Has a voice like a baseball announcer so class is easy to listen to. He tells you everything word for word thats on the exam so all you have to do is take notes and study. Got A+'s in both classes I took him for. You learn stuff you will use all your life.

Professor Cleveland is a one of kind of a professor. He is witty, smart, tough, yet compassionate and humorous. The way he describes concepts and teaches has really stuck with me and I've never had a class and professor influenced me as far as to have me apply it to everyday life. The movie clips he played helped a lot!

I'm a junior and he is my favorite teacher i've had so far. Related this class flawlessly with the outside world. I've already applied lot of it at my job. I'm taking another class just because he is the teacher of it. Great work.

Very interesting to listen to, even if the subject matter is a bit dry. He actively tries to be a fun and helpful teacher. I feel he may be OVERqualified for this job!! Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Mr. Cleveland. He teaches how YOU SHOULD TEACH. He pulls out the "need to know" stuff from the textbook and puts it on the daily powerpoint notes, so it makes the subject very easy to understand. All of his tests are based on these notes and therefore you actually LEARN SOMETHING OF IMPORTANCE & CAN RETAIN IT! Good teacher!

Tests mostly off lecture notes, few questions off textbook. 3 open-note quizzes, 1 no-note midterm, 1500 word article critique paper, and final exam. 2 e.c. opps worth 15 points. Keeps student names on notecards and goes through them for class participation; answer each time you're called on (avg 4) and you get 100% class participation credit.

He is uber smart and was in FBI for 30 years. He plays clips from Office Space alot. He uses powerpoint and has open-note/computer quizzez. Midterm/Final-not open. You don't have to buy book he is strictly off powerpoint notes. T/F tests-can be tricky. Overall-hes cool

I enjoyed management a lot more than terrorism. [Although both were interesting] Go to class, take notes, use it on the open note quizzes [Automatic A]. Then use those notes to study for midterm [he preps you, also an automatic A]. Critique...Final...Done! The videos are hilarious. I walked out with an A by showing up every day and taking notes.

Boring...Boring teacher tests from notes only. Unsure why we have to buy text book. Class not mandatory, but tests are all from notes. If he doesn't like you personally than it will effect your grade. Overall, I disliked this teacher for some of his conservative comments.

You have to take good notes off his lectures and make sure you pay attention. His exams mostly consist of class notes and gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit. Not the easiest professor but he is manageable if you put the work in. Also has a good sense of humor.

he is a retired FBI agent who use to interrogate suspects! how cool is that! he knows the material like the back of his hand. he has a great sense of humor and is willing to stay behind class to give small group review. show up for review before tests and you should at least get a B!
