I enjoyed this class for the most part although it was a TINY bit boring. You really have to listen in class and take thorough notes and you'll get an A in the class. If you need help or clarification on anything he is very willing to help.

He is extremely nice and helpful. He really knows his stuff. A lot of note taking but the midterm and final are take home papers and there's one pass/fail 2 page paper. Easy class and you'll learn a lot!

poverty & welfare is a really easy class. he doesn't take attendance. the tests are essay style & come straight from the notes. it's not hard to get an A in this class.

I love prof Curcio! He's a geniunely nice and caring person. He is extremely fair with grading. He really loves what he's teaching and that meakes me love it. Great teacher. Take him!!!

Haha His entire class could be a drinking game. OK ready Drink everytime he repeats himself, says something ovbious, mentions he's from Paterson or ends a sentence with "And things of that nature."

He teaches through lecture, so get ready to TAKE NOTES. He reviews before his 2 EXAMS. The final was a paper & he wasn't too hard. At one point he stopped taking attendance, but he always shows up to class. This class is not hard, just show up, and TAKE NOTES.

I had Professor Curcio for both Povery and Domestic Violence; and both classes we're great. 2 exams, 1 pass or fail short paper and a take home final exam are your grade. He doesn't take attendance, but you need to attend to get the notes for the exams, besides he always ends early. Overall a really nice guy, and fair professor. I'd recommend him.

I have professor Curcio for Domestic Violence and it is true, he does let us always out early. I would def. recommend him, not only is he a nice guy, he gets everyone interested in what he is teaching. He will go over his notes, reading it slow for everyone to copy then lets us leave

Professor Curcio is an extremely nice and caring person & I enjoyed his lectures. His tests can be kind of hard (they're essay, not multiple choice) if U don't study or take good notes. I liked his class & would take him again. If U pay attention, take detailed notes & read text, you'll be A-OK.

He does give lots of notes. He can be a tough grader but the lectures are informative enough to help. There is no attendance policy so it is tempting to miss it but then the exams are more difficult. The final is a take home but can be hard without notes.

He gives a lot of notes but he will say what will be on the exam. He only gives a mid term and a final. NO ATTENDANCE! You always leave early if the class is at night.
