Look I don't really like math so Analytical Chemistry was tough. Get a good lab TA as 35% of your grade is made up of lab. Don't memorize the formulas for the exam he will give you those. Focus on the questions in the lecture and the quizzes as those are guaranteed to show up on the exam. Overall he will bump up your grade if you're in limbo.

Great professor, really funny. Sometimes he doesn't explain things very well. His tests are mostly just the practice problems he gives in class.

Dr. Zhong knows his stuff and is a nice enough guy but not the best teacher. The lectures are just really boring and he can be hard to understand. Hardest class I took my freshman year.

He's really nice and he's not bad at lecturing. It shows that he loves teaching and the material he taught wasn't that difficult. Would take another course with him in a heartbeat!

In my opinion, this man belongs in industry, and industry ONLY. He is a very nice guy who knows his stuff. But his teaching style/clarity is poor. He does have the students best interest in mind when it comes to grading. I feel that he shouldn't be teaching. He didnt even know our class when for the entire hour for the whole semester, i mean jeez.

His name appeared online is Chuan-Jian Zhong, not Zian Zhong. A graduate study under his supervision is not recommended. Most of research works can not be reproduced.

Zhong is an interesting man. He called himself C.J yet that has no relation whatsoever to his real name. He spoke a form of incomprehensible English which no one understood but it gave everyone a good laugh. The class was easy and even though it is not needed to attend lecture, i would still recommend it since many times i laughed out loud at him

The Doc must have changed because the quizzes, tests and CAPA's are killer but the curve is huge. I would be a D student but right now am at a B- level. I do all the problems in the book and still have trouble with exams. He is nice though and helpful during his office hour but many many students want his help.

When it comes to Zhong just do the problems he assigns and know that the exam will be way more easier than the book problems. Also, Analytical chem is extremely boring, and I loved Chem 108 when I took it with Zhong. The labs get easier as you go into the semester. 95% of the labs are Titrations! I've never titrated so much in my life!

Zhong is the man. His tests are so damn easy if you read lecture notes. Going to class not required + example problems not required. Do capa, get a good TA, and read lecture notes = Instant A- or A. I personally got a C on the final and came out with an A.

I can't say how helpful and clear he was because I slept through every single lecture. One of the easiest classes I have taken in college. Exact same curriculum as AP Chem. CAPA's are a joke, tests are really easy, I didn't study for any of them. Labs are annoying and tedious, but deal with it.

Zhong was toooooooooooo easy. At least Dix tried to make people THINK on the tests. Zhong's test are too straight forward. Only 10% of the questions have "tricks" to them. Why so many people did badly is still beyond me...

Not a really tough class to get an A or A- in, just do your CAPAs and the practice problems he assings. No curve but still better than Dix's class. Zhong was tough to understand but the material wasnt too hard.

Interesting lectures, good prof. Dix sucked. You can actually get a good grade in this guy's class w/o "error points." He really cares about the students (unlike Dix) and is frequently in S2126 to help. This guy should teach 107 also.
