Webcams were mandatory, showed my bedroom to 20 strangers in Zoom. The labs 6 - 10 were exactly the same. Took about 10 hours per week (3 credits course). Cheats in reviewing labs. No feedback, some of the labs were "reviewed" after Christmas! Extremely boring and useless, screenshots of websites were shown. Learned XD by myself as well as UI/UX.

Hardly teaches the material, expects students to learn everything on their own, but assigns very difficult time consuming labs. Extremely slow to answer emails or give feedback. Seems generally uninterested in teaching and makes few attempts to make the course engaging.

In one sentence. "DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY BY TAKING COURSE WITH HIM." You have to read and watch tons of videos to learn by yourself because you can not learn anything in his class!!!!!!!!!!!!! His teaching is new and another definition of awful!

When other instructors take marks off I say yeah ok makes sense. When aaron takes marks off I am left speechless. His feedback doesn't match his requirements and it's impossible to please him. Just an awful display of teaching. The material is so easy, this could be fun and it should be fun but it's terrible.

It's like being in high school again. This class is simple and Aaron wants to feel like it's difficult by being a hard marker. I usually get A's and I put in so much work in this class to get a B. It's a design class but it's more about pleasing the instructor who gives confusing requirements and incorrect feedback, than spending time on design.

Highly recommend not taking Aron. He turns what is supposed to be a straight forward class (ux/ui design) and turns it into a disgusting mess. The requirements are confusing, the feedback is non-existent and the grading criteria he makes up as he goes along. Ex. In class: "do 10 user tests" Assingment: "do 14 user tests" Example lab: "7 user test"

Labs are not graded on time (and some not even graded by end of semester). Gives one liner feedback on the labs. So you have no idea what you did well and what you did bad (therefore no way to Improve). Generally dont care/disinterested.

Don't waste your money, read a UX/UI book & you will learn so much more. His quizzes are keywords(felt more like an English quiz) from the ppt & the final is the same. He is a good person, but course material is lacking, he just reads the ppt. Spent most of the time creating templates rather than learning.

Talks about movies more than games in a class about game design. Does not contextualize the concepts in games often. Gave only one assignment that was truly about game development. Only posted grades for half the labs at the very most and only marked one assignment out of three. In class quizzes often had material that required knowledge of GTAV.

The worst instructor I've ever had. Big ego and nothing behind that. Not helpful at all. If you like to code in any other programming language than Java he will not even look at your work and he will give you the worst grades. Avoid him at any costs.

His power points are hard to follow and dont support the assignments he hands out. expectations are high and often refers you to external links instead of teaching the material required. overall approachable but poor teaching style.

He can teach Java better than Bruce, friendly, and he's willing to help any student with their codes. He would be a better instructors for lectures too.

Can be strict, but is way more friendly & sociable than many other instructors. Not helpful at all if you email him (make sure your code is check-styled),but really helpful in person & will go through your code to figure out your the problem. Can lecture too much in lab,but doesn't mind if you don't listen to him. Among the better teachers at BCIT.

Thinks he's the instructor when he should be just helping with labs. HUGE ego problem and loves to whip out d*mb*ss examples and quiet often missing his own point. What did I do wrong to have him as lab instructor 3 courses in a row?? Btw, attend his labs -- he loves that = better marks
