Comment:

For graduates, we have only an assignment and a project. The assignment solution is from another planet, nothing from what he gave in class. He has a 30 min span after that he gets bored and concludes the class. His grading is one of the worst Ive seen, he doesnt show you your mistakes and doesnt have a clear grading criteria on the final (50%).

This professor is the worst . He grades his exams unfairly and unevenly just to preserve his reputation.I had the final exam because he showed us on the screen . I prepared for that exam and checked all the questions from published journal papers. He gave me a bad grade and refused to negotiate . He never knew that I had prepared the exam by heart.

Dr Adel is one of the best profs I met . He's very supportive and try simplify the complex theory issues though his experience and knowledge is very extensive . I was enjoying listening to him and take notes. He's so friendly and accessible at class and at his office, His midterm exam from assignments and final exam theory only and very easy.

Comment:

After taking soils and foundations, I can say that hanna overall is not good. You will depend more on the tutorials then him. He rambles a lot, and then asks the randomest theory questions on the exams. The sand sample question is an all time favorite, so remember when he talks about that! Otherwise, he has a big ego and can be kind of annoying.

Adel Hanna is old school. His teaching methods are old school. He wants you to succeed but you have to be tough on him as a student and ask him to help, if you expect him to feed you with info you wont do well.. The course itself is eady but you need to be focused for the A.

very good teacher. many stories to tell. His quizzes and midterm are easy but the final messes you up. impossible questions towards the end of the exam. But good overall but beware of the tutors.. they're not always so bright.

Nice professor, lots of stories to tell, always select the best TA's to teach and follow up, his PhD candidate who is also a teacher for another class is outstanding and very smart, very practical and good looking teacher his name is Mousa Bani Baker, actually he is the one who plans the whole things and made our life much easier na better

I have to admit he didn't do too bad for a course, as he says, he doesn't usually teach. Presence is mandatory since he doesn't put much explanations on the course notes, which btw illustrate well his subject. As for the explanations, courses ended before time and felt redundant at times. Maybe this has to do with his course preparation...

This teacher is a total idiot! Very sly character and don't know how he made it this far in his life. After the senior design project was completed and presented (about 23 drawings and 500 page report *7 groups) grades came out in two days, he then left for Egypt for two weeks so no chance to question his grading.feel grades were given randomly

I got the same impression. Fun class, however, doesn't answer questions clearly, leaves all the work to the T.A., mistakes everywhere on his notes, he barely wants to answer your question in his office (i covered it in class???), misleading. He told us what the final exam was going to test us on... well, anything but.
