I took Quinlan for a Creative Writing class with a friend and we both adored her and were excited for each class. Its a writing intensive so obviously there are a lot of writing assignments but if you follow her direction you can have fun with it and get a good grade. She is always available through e-mail for questions. She'll bring the dog, cute!

Straight forward. Do the work and don't play the most dangerous game (no plagiarism SERIOULY). Syllabus outlines all pretty well. Great class and wonderful professor. She's a character and her knowledge and love of writing really shows. She'll bring her dog to class. He's cool.

Professor Quinlan is a great Professor. Yes, she is strict about attendance, but I had her class once a week, so it was only fair. MUST HAVE TEXTBOOKS. They will help you for the final. She will pop-quiz you on the text, but she is fair. She is a little disorganized, but she is very sweet and very into the subject. ASK ABOUT HOMEWORK ALWAYS.

Never sticks to the syllabus, demands revisions of every work and even when you take her thoughts into consideration and revise, she gives an even lower grade. Only allowed to miss ONE class or she lowers your final grade. If you don't like writing poetry you're out of luck.

She's extremely frank, can be a little sarcastic. Workshop goes very well. Not always organized. Extremely easy if you pay attention to what she assigns. Multiple drafts necessary. Unconventional style; we had to make an online blog. She was helpful with that - willing to teach you after class on it.
