Comment:

Dr. Cai was by far one of the sweetest yet annoying professors. If you are an athlete. this is your go-to since she has SO much favoritism over you. But, if you are not, get ready to be annoyed by her grading. She assigns only 4 papers (like 2 pages each) and a research paper. Takes off points for the dumbest things. Nice lady, not professor.

Despite some of the negative comments below, Dr. Cai is one of the professors that you should really take. She is an extremely tough grader yes, however, her assignments do nothing but help you in the long run (i.e. Quizzes, Tests). She is a very understanding person and very easy to talk to. She is a wonderful sociology professor.

such an amazing profesor! teaches very well and guides you on any misunderstandings you might have in the course. i would take her again if my major was sociology! really profesional, and always available outside of classroom. very understand kind hearten woman, honestly will miss her class!

Dr. Cai inspired me. I was not from an educated background, and Dr. Cai showed me what it meant to be an educated person, a freethinker, and a professional. I struggled at other colleges, but she got me to take my work seriously, probably because she is so smart and respectable. She brought out the best in me. Dr. Cai is serious about education.

She is the worst professor I ever had. Never on time, doesn't know anything about Criminal justice and I think she hate police officers. Very liberal and after I had her class I left Caldwell University for another school . Best move I ever made

Dr. Cai is incredible! Great professor overall. She does give pop quizzes (1-2 questions each) but if you do the assigned readings, you should be fine! Midterm was multiple choice and straight from the notes she gives. She really cares about her students.

The class feels very disorganized. We sit around in groups and discuss amongst ourselves about the reading we are assigned. She never goes into lecture about any of the material. She's a nice lady, which makes it even more sad that her teaching style is average. Also we kill more class time rearranging our groups than actually learning.

Dr Cai is awesome!!! She's super nice and helps you out if you need help. Great with extra credit and knows what she's talking about. Had such a good experience with her. Some of the other teachers in the department are honestly no good but Dr Cai is awesome. Show up to class and pay attention and you can at least get a B.

Really great prof. If you ask her for help and clarification, pay attention in class, participate when she asks questions, do your work, and don't take your phone out then you're golden. She has a lot of experience in her field if you actually are interested. I'd say the problem lies with the awful people taking her class rather than with Dr. Cai.

I don't understand why her rating is so low, yes she has an accent but she isn't that difficult to understand, I think its quite cute. She is very helpful if you go to her after class and ask questions if you are confused. She reviewed for quizzes before actually handing them out. DO NOT TAKE DR. CAI. she is incredibly confusing and does not help anyone! I recently made three appointments with her during her SCHEDULED office hours, and she did not show up to any or give me any notice. She is also close impossible to understand when she speaks.
